Powercore Combiners - Huffer with Caliburst (Transformers Universe Wave 3?)

A new image of possible Transformers Universe wave 3 figures emerged from internet. The packaging listed the toys as Powercore Combiners - Huffer with a partner Caliburst.
Apparently the new Huffer is a new figure paying homage to it's G1 counterpart, but this time he comes with a partner that transform to a weapon mounted on his alternate mode.
It is a strange combination as Caliburst is a Target Master Decepticon in Generation One.

Wow i hated Huffer in the Cartoons but this looks like a neat figure. Interesting Power Core Combination. Wonder what the other figures will be like. Wow! just read the Hasbor Quote and these things sound awesome! That is a very sweet idea. That sounds more like a kids fantasy than a real line of toys. This is great. Looking forward to these guys.

Here I was thinking that the rumored Power Combiners was just a gimmicky name for combiners that actually transform. We're looking at you, Devastator! But now Patrick Stewart (if that really is your real name lol) just blew my mind. EVERYTHING has the ability to combine?!? What?? That's crazy but I'm still super excited! If this is an added gimmick to to the continuation of classics/universe then I say BRING IT ON!!!

AAAAWWWW YEAH! cant wait to get a bit more on this.

looks like a sweet new line integrating a few old gimmicks.

Absolutly can't wait to see what this turns up!!!

unfortunately there seem to be no magnets =( for some reason the name "power core combiners" makes me want magnets in my toys!

Reserving judgement on this whole concept until I see more. It's way too early in my day to be getting my hopes up.

This is pretty interesting, I like the idea of getting two bots at the same time like back in Armada but I'll take it with a grain of salt.

Well they had the first pic of ROTF Leader Prime.

Yes but let us not forget tht in the past Walkertron has been a giant douch himself.

As for the multicombiner thing, that was done ages ago in Japan by the guys behind Robo Machines, they had teams of 5 that changed in to a gestalt and then all the teams merged in to a giant gestalt. Fell apart like a bitch but was impressive as long as you never breathed on it

The mock up looks nice though

/toy is actually pretty good for tf news. They can release whatever info they like without fear of reprisal.

This figure looks amazing. I'm glad we're finally getting a Huffer figure to go with Brawn, Cliffjumper and Bumblebee! I just hope they aren't so drastically different-looking when stood next to the classics figures.

As for the idea of power core combiners? **** love it. Every toy can combine in any way possible? I might be being optimistic on this one, but I'm thinking of a massive scramble-city love in coming up!

Technically, /b does the same thing.

Very interesting news! I was hoping for something more than a Targetmaster style gimmick but I'll wait and see what else is involved in this upcoming line.

Fixed.

Huffer reminds me of Animated Sentinel Prime.

Don't really like the looks of it. I'm also a little suspicious of something coming from 4chan. I'm proud to say I've never visited the website, but from what I hear it's a collection of all the internets mentally ill in one place. Like Arkham Asylum without out the doctors or medication. Which to be fair is every other day for Arkham. So I have an itching feeling this may be fake. But you, we'll when there's actual pictures of the toys. Not just a picture of photoshopped pictures in a box.

Though if this is real, it's quite interesting. I wonder if they'll have other type of combiners in this subline like headmasters and powermasters and actual combiner combiners, like either gestalt-style or Energon-style. It also kind of reminds me of an idea I had a long time ago where basically anything could be on the alt mode could turn into a smaller robot. For example, I had a design for Soundwave who turned into an APC(or a striker like movie Wreckage) and his minions turned into thing you stuck onto his vehical mode. So Lazerbeak was a radar/satellite dish, Ravage was a spare tire, Rumble was a luggage box, etc. That would be cool if they did something like that.

This looks like a combiniation of movie and classics verses, sort of like Bludgeon and Mindwipe.

I'll have to see it in person, but I can't see Huffer being cool enough to pull off a visor.

toys on /toy true not bad, and 4chan is a open forum for saying anything.
anything on /b again open forum.
toys on /b.... well i'm sure they had pics of Nexus Maximus first if not necessarily the gestalt one.

Each toy can be disassembled and reassembled using components from every other toy in the line. Beyond that the toys can be combined as gestalts in a nearly limitless number of configurations. In effect all the toys can combine with each other simultaneously.

This description kinda remonds me of the 'Modulok' character from Masters of the Universe.

For those too young to remember, Modulok was a toy that consisted of multiple pieces - lots of different arms, legs, bodies and heads that could be assembled into an almost limitess combinations of bodies. If you bought multiple copies of the figure, then you could ovbiously make larger and more complex forms, limited only by the number of body parts you owned.

So is Huffer, in effect, a Modulok that transforms into a truck?

Reading around on a couple of other tf news sites, I read the guy that posted this statement is a bit of a BSer. Until things are known for certain, I advise everyone to take this bit with a pinch of salt.

Im not liking this gimmick(hell i just really hate gimmicks). I like the idea of bringing back the target masters and things like that but being able to "disassemble" figures and combine the parts is a very bad idea. You know how many parts are going to be lost or broken? And i never knew the powerlinx thing was so popular. I was never a real fan of it since alot of the toys suffered from having to also be a combiner. From the pic the figure looks cool. I dont know why but ive always wanted a new Huffer. Damn theres gonna be alot of TF lines next year.
