he's a good size transformer.Long then prime and his trailer and taller then most G1 figures.I too bought him months ago when he was $40.Best money I've spent on a transformer reissue

I enjoy him. He's close enough to stand with my neo-G1 line (IMO of course).
He's larger than you'd expect.

How big is he compared to ROTF devatsator? the big guy needs someone his size to fight! (unicron too!)

P.S. this would be my first G1 toy, reissue or otherwise

Good figure and good size as well.
Bird and Lynx form together so its fairly tall and large figure
Have mine from back in the day and didnt hesitate grabbing an Encore one cheap from BBTS just like your waiting on

Get it!!!
Seriously, one of the best G1 TFs I've seen and I have. Not too tall (about 1,5* the average deluxe robot mode in combined "robot" mode), but long (from nose to tail about cyb supreme Starscreams size).
Skylynx is a fun toy, and his walking/rolling ability is fun too.

About eight inches tall and 14 inches from tip of nose to tip of tail. Great figure. I have a G1 Sky Lynx, and he's loads of fun. Not sure if the Encore version includes the walking feature, but if it does, it adds even more fun and playability. In short, Sky Lynx is a great addition to any TF collection.

Let's put it this way:
1. I've just seen this thread literally seconds ago.
2. I heard Sky Lynx was $40.
3. I'm buying it.

I've been watching Encore Sky Lynx for a long time. I had him pre-ordered at original price way back when. Cancelled that. Considered getting him when he dropped to 60$, still held back.
Saw him on sale for like 30$ from TF source a few weeks ago, ALMOST caved but still decided against it. While he is a good size figure, and a G1 character... I just think the toy is lame. Not much transforming to him, the Lynx section is just meh and a blue block of plastic with limbs. He just doesn't do anything for me, so even 30$ for a G1 reissue is apparently still too much for me.

YES! Get him! To quote Serpentor....."This I command!" Or regret forever your fence sitting at letting him get a way. He looks a bit hookey but hey.....it's G1! It's also improved over the original with added paint apps on the Lynx version and the Dinobird mouth.

Would have to agree. I thought he was pretty cool as a kid for some reason, but now I just find it stupid and cheesy looking. And I imagine I'd have more fun (for 5 minutes or so) with the walking gimmick than transforming the toy itself.

I got him in the mail a couple of days ago...I'm just in awe of him walking across the floor. If I had this when I was a kid it would've blown my mind...
...and my cat's, come to think of it. I've noticed that pets are never thrilled with stuff like this.

so after commenting that no amount of money was worth it... I finally picked him up for 30$ from TF source. Basically only because I already had stuff being shipped to me, and since I want all G1 characters and he is in a lot of S3 episodes I got him. I will probably hate him, but at least I got him for 30 before i missed the boat entirely

You timed it just right, because I just checked their site again for Encore/Reissue prices and Sky Lynx is outta stock now.

Especially if you set up races between Sky Lynx, Omega Supreme and Trypticon.

@Icewilly, how's it feel to own one now? I doubt you'll regret it......in fact, you're probably jumping with joy.......that's the magic of G1.

Well I don't have him yet, but I know what to expect at least. Its just one of those things where I don't think he'll get remade in a classics line, so if I want the character this is my only option. At 30$, we'll see!

Once it arrives, it will be like "a kid opening his X-mas presents moment". Skylynx and all his stiff G-1 blockiness. You won't regret it IceWilly.

I wasnt sure about Sky Lynx but ordered him anyway as I wanted to add to my G1 collection.
There is something about Sky Lynx that is just fun. Its chunky and simple and makes you feel 10 again.
Well worth it IMHO.
