This auction seemed suspect....

I could have sworn the Henkei prototype had red window shields, and not blue like the SDCC version. I saw this searching through complete listings...sounds like someone got ripped off.

And it said Classics, not Henkei. You're right about the (possibly canceled) Henkei version having red windows though.

Plus, its not uncommon for auction descriptions to have both names in order to increase the chances of the item getting viewed.

Actually, what the auction states is that it's the classics Nemesis Prime figure with the Henkei Black Convoy's shoulder pads. Which does appear to be the case, and is very strange.

Maybe, but the "OMG never heard of a test shot" before.....I saw was supposed to be a Japanese convention exclusive which had red tinted windows, and "not for sale" stamped on the toy.

Oh so that is what a "test shot" is...my my my, I neva nu dat :o)

Yep. A test shot is literally what it sounds like. A test to see what a new toy could look like. A lot of toys are handpainted or simply just cast plastic to see what the toy will look like after being molded and put together. They aren't finished toys usually unless they're very far along in the production phase and then the toy is generally considered a prototype. But depending on who you talk to test shots are considered prototypes.
