Has anyone else considered exactly how or what the FP Defender will be redecoed into?

I can not believe that they will let a mold get only one use...and with a bit of planning ahead of time and perhaps some simple retooling...I think they could get a Sandstorm out of that mold.

Robot...car-ish thing...helicopter-ish thing

Anyone else find this thought interesting?

I'd buy it for a dollar...or $80. Whatever.

Maybe with a bit of retooling, we can get a Chromedome or Highbrow out of him.

The chunky, angular helicopter mode reminds of Spinister, but the ground mode obviously doesn't fit.

Thinking of the Classis line ... Blades?

Edit: Of course they'll probably put him in Decepticonny colors and call him "Dark Warbot" or something. It doesn't nessasarily have to be a real homage to anything.

Yeah, I guess they really could get Sandstorm out of that... I'd get one, I like Sandstorm.

They could always paint it like Blitzwing and do a Shattered Glass version.

I could definitely see that as Sandstorm, especially with minor retooling, but a straight repaint is more likely and still acceptable. I'd buy it.

I can see that, but I hope they don't do it. I don't feel like paying twice for basically the same (expensive) mold.

Sandstorm would be pretty awesome, but I would definitely have reservations about spending that much on it.

Forced to disagree here. Sharing alt modes isn't enough. The shape, feel and transformation of Springer and Sandstorm are totally different. Even with a new headsculpt and colour scheme Defender wouldn't be Sandstorm. He'd be "Sahara Mission Springer" or "Dune Attack Springer" or something.

Well, the name's a fit, I guess. Sandstorm is a pacifist, but not so much so to protect Paradorn, 'defender' describes him pretty well.

Well, they could repaint him into Battletrap too...
