Look at how they're like, "Compare to the animation!..and how we fail this time..."

Thanks to Japanese online store Hobby Search, we get a preview of the Hobby magazine, Figure King - Issue 144. Inside the magazine is a two-page spread of Animated Ironhide (aka Bulkhead) and Bumblebee. The pages show off the glossy Animated figures and their transformations, of which we are very familiar with. Ironhide is designated as an Autobot Guardsman, while Bumblebee is an Autobot Speedster. Check out the page below.

You can find Issue 144's product page here. The figures are set for release in April, and you can pre-order Ironhide and Bumblebee off site sponsor BigBadToyStore in the links provided.

Shiny paint is cool, but that green is rubbish.

Bumblebutt = 5x Better with SHINY. Ironhide/Bulkhead/Gang-green = 5xFAIL.

I really digg the figures... but the $ is not worth it. I gotta swing with Hasbro this time around.

It's shiny metallic paint, not chrome.

I know that, I just meant that I hoped there wouldn't be the "chrome" debates that get raised from time to time due to certain Takara decisions.

I totally understand the sparkley approach. Serious Transfans here in Japan have been buying the Hasbro import figures at massive expense since they came out in America. If Takara released the exact same figures years later for cheaper, their sales would probably be hit too hard.
Mercenary though it sounds, Takara need an incentive for this to get people to buy the same figure twice.
If they produce a better version of Swindle though, I'll buy it so fast my credit card will have friction burns on it.
