Second set is the unknown Decepticon tag team. Now they are identified as Smolder and Chopster.
http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... ers/17692/Thanks to Toyz and Gamez, the identity of the third Powercore combiners also has been revealed.
In the pre-order page, the listing indicated the 3 new sets are:

Searchlight, eh?
Wonder if it'll be a proper G1 Throttlebot homage?
Nah...

Huffer = G1 Huffer homage (obviously)
Caliburst = Mini-Con Caliburn homage?http://www.tfu.info/2004/Mini-Con/Caliburn/caliburn.htmSmolder = (you got me - any guesses?)
Chopster = ?
Searchlight = Throttlebot Searchlight homage? (seems unlikely)
http://www.tfu.info/1987/Autobot/Search ... hlight.htmBackwind = ? (maybe a Mini-Con Backtrack homage?)

Despite the faction shift, Caliburst may well be a homage to...Caliburst.

"Backwind"? Seriously?
Out of everybody in the Hasbro offices, nobody thought to say "do you mean, like a fart?".
Erector and Discharge, you have a new best friend. Oh, that came out wrong.
(And, yes, I know what "backwind" means, but what kid is going to think of that rather than "fart"?)

LOL, my bad. I don't remember Caliburst. I just went to TFU.com and pulled up a list of all the figures that began with C, and saw Caliburn and noticed the resemblance.
As for the name "Backwind", I was thinking "Is that what happens when you pull the ring on that new Bumblebee figure? He emits Backwind?"

As long as Searchlight isn't repainted into Fleshlight i'm fine. Okay, sorry, I just had to throw that out there. XD
Liking the names, liking the mini-cons, can't wait for the Pokeformer shenanigans to begin.

What do they combine into ??? Back in the days the term combiner was reserverd for 5-6 units that turn into a giant robot. Now days if a plane rides piggyback on top of a bigger plane it is labeled a "combiner".

You've spent the last 15 years of the Transformers cave. Don't worry, you won't understand!

Hmm. It's inetesting enough to pique my curiosity, but I'll have to wait for further info. Right now, Huffer is a pass. Smolder, maybe. Searchlight, I'll need pix to decide first. Also, a couple reviews by someone like Peaugh wouldn't hurt either. Does anyone else get the idea that Hasbro has taken the creativity of names a little to far? Searchlight and Backwind, seriously...

Right now the relationship between the five-figure-sets and the bulk-and-Mincon sets is unknown. One thing that is known is that the minicon can seemingly form a weapon or
armour for the larger figure.
