Got this big guy the other day, and noticed that almost all his components have alpha-numeric markings. Some are obvious in their meaning, such as "SCVNGR" on Scavenger. He also has "THK 1139" on the opposite side. You may recall that "THX 1138" was George Lucas' first movie, and a reference he used in the Star Wars movies on occasion.
Hightower has "40777" on him, which to me recalls the "MASH 4077th" from the TV show and movie. Scrapper has "BG-E", which I'm not clear what it could mean. "Battlestar Galactica", I thought, but they usually abbreviate that as BSG, right? Rampage has "AN KA 111308", which contains the "1138" reference again.
I imagine these are little in-jokes from the designers, or maybe I have too much time on my hands.

Why would hightower reference MASH? Why would any of it happen? But these things do happen. There was another thread about it a while back. There was something about Star Trek maps in G1 Prime's trailer but I couldn't see it.

I think the last one may be a reference to a couple the designer knows, maybe AN(dy?) and KA(ren?) and their (wedding date)?, 11/13/2008... or maybe the kid of the designer and his/her birthday?

I remember that topic about G1 Prime's trailer and the maps on the inside. When I checked, it was true. It features either Romulus or Remus.

BG-E could be Big E, which is the nickname for the US Carrier Enterprise. (also unofficially used in reference to the starships of the same name.)

I have to check that out when I get home. I never knew about that-and I have had that thing for a 1/4 century. Geez.
