Hasbro toy shop is awesome stupid

A number of problems have occurred in the recent past in regards to TF orders from the Hasbro toy shop that makes one wonder just what the hell they're thinking. Back just before Christmas we ordered a TFA voyager Optimus and something else... I lost track amid all our other orders. Anyway, the package arrived and instead of TFA prime we got a Universe Galvatron. Contact was made and they let us keep it and would send us our proper order, and they did. However it turned out it was severely lacking in the QC department... so we went about sending it back for a replacement. For some odd reason we couldn't, because the packing slip was invalid. After a load of round-a-bout bullshit they finally sent us a new prime that was alright and we sent the other one back, and that was the end of it... until today when we received yet another TFA Optimus Prime.

So now I have 2 free toys from HTS. As if my pile of **** to sell wasn't big enough...

I feel your pain. I've been waiting 1.5-2 weeks just for an e-mail response(either positive or negative) on a replacement part request for a broken Re-issue Kickback wing.

So you ended up with two free items AND the one you wanted. I'm sorry, what are you complaining about at this point?

He's obviously from the Bizarro Earth that Bizarro is from. On his planet he's not very bright which explains his proper grammar and sentence structure instead of "Me am Bizarro Shadowstream. Me am sad about Hasbro charging me for shipping extra toys."

I'm not necessarily complaining... though in my case I do feel it's a valid complaint given the tall order of stuff I have to get rid of is just getting taller because HTS and a few other sites I've bought from are giving me more than I asked for.

What I was trying to point out is just how moronic their system is that not only can they not get their orders correct, but they're also pretty much throwing money away by giving me these extra toys. I'm not usually one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but after all the crap I went through to sort it out, this just takes the cake!

And it sounds like things could have ended up so much worse. Shadowstream, since you got a couple of FREE toys, and it is causing you so much anguish, go ahead and send them to me FREE and maybe you will feel better about the situation.

After the SDCC Soundwave ordeal I decided to not use HTS unless I have no other outlet. They sent me my SDCC soundwave in a box big enough for a Ultimate BB with no packing what so ever..When I opened it the laserbeak on SW's shoulder was bent in and the right side of the package was slightly crushed.

After contacting HTS they said that due to the high demand of the figure( understandably) that all I would be able to get is a refund that would take 3-4 weeks to process..I hung up and decided to deal with a figure that I had to plan to keep MISB despite not even being close to that now.. Every time I stare at that box i get a little erked..

So they fixed your order! you recieved extra toys! and you complaining. I can't comprehend this ... they did something wrong and FIXED IT and THEN SOME! I'm never rude but please when it comes to customer care your being handled properly so give them a break; hell give them praise and shut it.
Sorry I may take cc issues personally as I deal with a team and group of care in my profession... I can't stand people that complain for no reason. Really is it that hard having 2 more toys amongst your others?
Oh look ... I opened up this new xbox 360 game it's broken. Call company for replacement... they state take it back to point of purchase! They fixed it. Then out of the blue I recieved a game in the mail. I'm up one! I called them feeling bad as I wasn't sure they were sending me a game. They stated keep it for the confusion (as shipping the item back would cost them money) lol I'M SO PISSED I HAVE AN EXTRA GAME TO TRADE IN!!!!! ERRRRRRRG. DAMN THEM
That did happen... wow... my bad i'm complaining... i'm in a bad mood i'll jump off here. :-(

GO COLTS!

Let me try to elaborate further... this happened just around Christmas among a great deal of other shipping mishaps. It was meant to be a present for my little brother. Imagine, if you will, a disappointed kid having to wait 3-4 weeks after Christmas before he actually gets most of his presents. This has been a problem for awhile and this recent even just exasperates things.

Is that enough or should I bash some other stores to get the point across? Wanna hear about HLJ? Should I point out how much Wal-mart sucks? I'm not trying to complain about getting free toys... I'm complaining about customer service and the lack thereof!

as for ridding myself of this excess..... think of my shipping situation like a roach motel.

You're making a big deal out of one bad transaction that resulted in you getting what you paid for plus something free for your trouble?

I've never had a problem with HTS.com and I've order from them many times.

The having to wait 3-4 weeks part sucks, no doubt. The rest of your posts however, whine, complain, repeat.

Would you like some cheese to go with that WHINE?

It seems that they fixed Shadowstream's problem and sent some extra stuff. That is awesome for the consumer. However, from a business perspective, that is highly inefficient. I have seen other complaints about them online (damaged boxes, broken figures, poor communication including taking orders where inventory was not available).

Whether the mistakes end up good or bad for the customer is not the point here. These mistakes do not really make me feel condfident in ordering with them.

Here's the problem, no business is perfect. Mistakes can, do, and will happen. It's how they handle themselves and correct said mistakes that make the difference.

Yes, HTS has made some huge blunder moves in the past.
Yes, there have been well publicized snafus in the past.

No one denies that. Yet, no one speaks up for when they not only get the job done, they do it well.

I've had several experiences buying from them, and each one went without a hitch. In fact, items came faster than expected, and with the coupon codes they list every now and then, it was cheaper than going to the store and buying it off the shelf.

They've served plenty of people in and out of the fandom, and served them well. Lately, all we hear from our fellow fans is negativity. No one can do right by them, nothing's ever good enough.

I'm flat out sick of it.

Oh and do you think BBTS is perfect? I sure hope you don't. They've sent the wrong figure, extra figures, had shipping problems, etc. In most of those cases, they either offer to fix the problem (at their expense), or let you keep the second figure.

Yet when HTS lets someone keep the extra figure due to a screw up on their part, it makes them look like they don't know how to handle their business. How fair is that?

That sounds ridiculous to me.

Not to mention, businesses have insurance protection and tax write offs. If you think the highly praised BBTS hasn't written off a few of those mistakes, I'd say you're sorely mistaken. I won't definitively say that they have, since I don't have proof, but if you think it's impossible, that's just silliness.

A lot of fans say "Robotkingdom is one of the best!" really? My first experience with them was my last.

I ordered Animated Leader Class Megatron from them, paid for EMS, waited 5 days, and it was a Saint Seiya Myth Cloth figure. Not only had they sent me the wrong figure, but it wasn't even from the same toyline or company, plus the figure they sent me was priced higher, so they were losing money on their mistake.

They refused to make contact with me, so I had to go through PayPal, who did decide in my favor, but couldn't get the money back, to get Robotkingdom to talk to me. (Yet when I ordered Megatron, and had shipping questions, they were all Chatty Cathy.)

Finally after about two weeks, I get an email from the owner saying "Send it back, we send you Megatron." At first, I was going to have to PAY to send it back to them, out of my pocket! I finally got him to reimburse me for the Airmail shipping cost (which was close to $20.00...) and I had to wait the whole two weeks for it to get back to them in Hong Kong before I could get my shipping reimbursement, and my Megatron. What should've been 5 days, ended up being a month before I saw my Megatron. Oh and even though it was his mistake, he sent the correct figure through Air Mail, instead of EMS like I had paid for. I ended up having to buy Megatron through a shady eBay seller and got him for cheaper, and faster than Robotkingdom could do.

There was no real apology outside of "I'm sorry", no thank you for the business, no "here's a free gift for your time." like BBTS and HTS do, just basically "Here's your stuff. Are we done now?" kinda deal.

HTS is leaps and bounds better than people realize, and the people who have had pleasant experiences should stand up and say "Hey, I had a good one!"

And yes, it does suck that he had to wait 3-4 weeks for an item, but that's the gamble you pay when you do your holiday shopping online. Mistakes are guaranteed to happen during the holidays. Not just with HTS, but with any e-tailer.

And, in the end he received free figures that he can sell or trade and make a profit off of...FOR FREE.

Again I say, WHINE, WHINE, WHINE.

I'm just absolutely stunned by the level of ungrateful people.

Autobot302, what you're essentially bashing and berating us for is simple human nature.

People are ALWAYS more prone and willing to talk about their negative experiences than their positive ones because we expecta positive experience. When said positive expectation isn't met, we feel disappointed and cheated, and thus are likely to vent about it. People won't generally talk about something that's the usual or expected.

You see it all the time working in retail: People will almost always jump through hoops to find a manager to complain about an employee, but will never go out of their way to find one to praise an employee for doing a job above average or excellently.

Also, every time there's a HTS bash, I comment on all the positive experiences I've had.

As do I. (On both reporting good news to a manager, and singing HTS's praises.)

If only more people would be willing to do the right thing...

At first, I looked at this thread as bashing, and almost making fun of HTS for doing business the way they do. I have never bought from HTS, but I am willing to give them a try based completely on the positives presented by several of the people who responded to this thread.

So.......the poster of this initially negative thread has actually made me a future customer of HTS. I doubt that was the intention of this thread in the first place, but that is what it it turned into-an advertisement for HTS.

Thanks to all those who chimed in.

Glad to hear. As I said earlier, I buy almost all the regular retail, non-exclusive stuff at HTS. The only thing I usually see in stores earlier are legends. I managed to get all of the the NEST figures from HTS, and save myself a ton of gas hunting.
