just got it today. love it for the most part. did anyone else notice the weird head on the instructions though? lol

pros:
epic
combines animatedverse and movieverse well
taller than all deluxes and as tall or taller than voyagers
owns deluxe ratchet

cons:
soft bullsh*t plastic hook and hand and spikes
the mismatched shoulders kinda irk me but oh well :CON:

getting Bludgeon, Mindwipe and Skystalker this weekend. psyched

i guess the main point of this is if anyone noticed the weird instruction head

Like to warn everyone that his head is very fragile try not to over play with his head.. falls out easily.. haha and yea they drew what seemed to be a very different head in the instructions.

Didn't use the instructions... **looks**
Whoa, totally different!

I'd like to see more Movie/Animated crossovers. ROTF Lockdown's great, Animated Blackout (he's sort of a crossover) looks interesting -- whenever that's coming out.

Just picked him up today as well as a deluxe Ratchet. Easily one of my favorite deluxes to come out of the ROTF line (sorry Sideswipe and Breakaway ;)^ )

I can't stand that rubbery plastic myself (its a pain in the ass to repaint) but I'm ok with it on Lockdown.

I like his mismatched shoulders, they make him look like he's made of mismatched parts. My only complaint with him is his left arm joints are really weak. I haven't been able to transform him without his shoulder and elbow joints popping off.

Yeah, just got mine yesterday; he's sweet.
Well proportioned, nice paint apps, but the moment I turned the car over and saw what the hook was made of, I was like (Indiana Jones' voice here) "rubber. Why'd it have to be rubber!?"
Seriously, they made Animated Lockdown's hands and hook out of more rigid plastic, so why'd they have to resort to this trash on the superior (imo) version? :???:

Easily one of my favorite movie-verse deluxes to date. I was a big fan of TFA so to see Lockdown get brought over made me a happy camper. I don't mind the rubber hook and hand, they display fine so no worries. The mismatched parts are a carry over from his TFA character so I'm cool with that as well. I have a feeling Lockdown will become a common character in the TF universe.

My Animated Lockdown has a rubber hook, I think...

Agreed. As much as I whinge about the same characters being re-released all the time I'd love to see more cross-pollination like this. Maybe an Animated Jolt or Dropkick, or a movieverse Sentinel Prime or the Jettwins. I think Animated adds the character that is so lacking in the movieverse, while the movie line adds the detail and realism not found in Animated.

i'd like a blackout either way thats a decent size. animated blackout is supposed to be huge but his toy is tiny. same with movie blackout :?

Animated Blackout is coing (if only by Takara Tomy), so there you have some more.

Picked one up the other day at Target.
I got one with a pristine paint job which saying a lot
because he has quite a lot of paint. I really like him
even with his weird panel works. I really like his head
and neck assembly and the over all look of the guy.

I too do not like the softness of the hook though.
They need to use rubber like thye used for the first
movie line. It was flexible but not annoyingly rubbery.
It's like the sword Bludgeon has only curved and seems
even softer.

I'd love it more if the rubber had been applied to the tires instead of the hand/hook and if the right shoulder joint wouln't pop off so much. I'll give it the Krazy Glue treatment. Also, a minor gripe is the vertical line in the tailights could've been easily aligned with the separation line. Nothing beats that neck articulation, though. Not sorry at all i got him.
