Superion Add-On Snowman Version Price Jump?!? WTH?

Okay, so I've been on the fence on this add-on since I saw it. It looks really awesome but I just couldn't justify the price. Since I saw the Snowman version awhile back, I've been leaning more towards yes, and was finally convincing myself to go for it soon, and now...
TFSource jacked up the price by $20. What the hell, guys? Way to make me go from tipping over your side of the fence to jumping back as fast as I can.
I get that it's limited edition and all, but is this any way to clear your remaining stock? I don't think so. Looks like my Superion will go without any add-ons. It's missing two of the limbs anyway, that saves me another $50.
/rant.

I guess it's an add-on that was never meant to be in your collection
From a Transformers fan that has been looking at the figures that have been churning out for the past year and in the future.. and I'm sure you are one as well.. I'd like to remind you that - your money is probably meant to be spent on better things.
And, nice sig.

Yes, I suppose you're right. I just had delusions of grandeur where I owned every single one of FP's add-ons... it wasn't going to happen anyway, no way I'd ever fork out for the Cliffjumper set, and I don't even own him anyway.
Hahaha, thanks. Everyone always forgets Muk Muk! Poor guy.

Well, I'm not sure if you are interested, but BBTS has the regular Superion add-on as a pre-order for $49.99.
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retailI guess they are looking for more.
And Robotkingdom has the items still in stock at $49.99 as well and ready to go.
http://www.robotkingdom.com/services/es ... s&CatID=73Not as nice as the Snowman kit, but still good to have nonetheless. I have the regular version and I think it's just peachy keen!!
As for what TFSource is trying to get for the CJ upgrade kit, the word rape comes to mind.

Thanks. I may do that in the end, but after seeing and wanting the Snowman version, the regular one will be a slight disappointment. Oh well, we can't all get what we want. I have higher-priority purchases anyway, as Blurrz put it.
And yeah, any time I see that CJ set it's insanely priced. Not that I want it anyway.

It's a TFSource-exclusive recolor done up in white plastic. Looks a lot more G1 than the standard version.

Yeah, I kinda wish I woulda waited or known in advanced about the Snowman version. I would have gotten that one. I still might get it since I won't be spening much on Hasbro this year except for Thurst, Drift, and Straxus (Darkmount).
And as long as you DO NOT see the CJ kit in person, you should be fine. I was ok with it until I saw Geekee's collection and he had it there. In that instance, ignorance WAS bliss, or cheap!!

It is a great set. I got this one first instead of the original set. For one the original set has a more mechanical look to it, which I think would do well with the ROTF version. However, I did add the "Snowman" set to the ROTF set too if you look on the second page of my thread.
I guess a price increase would occur since supposedly there is only 500 in existence. I paid less for it than the original set at the time of the pre-order.

I find it hilarious thought that for brutiuc we will be getting 2 transformers with parts for $30 more than the current snowman fp set.

I have a new, unused Snowman set I'll sell for $55 plus shipping to whoever wants it.
I bought one and decided to stick with the original grey on my ROTF Superion. I never even got around to opening this set.
Basically I'm just trying to cover what I paid for it (including shipping from TF SOurce).
Ships from Florida and I'll take Paypal or an Amazon.com gift certificate for payment.

I totally would, but alas I am completely broke right now.
Unless you're looking for a Henkei Galvatron, we could work out a trade + Paypal deal.

I finally caved in last week and bought the snowman version. I paid the hefty price, but in the end it was well worth it. I definitely like this version a lot. I might of bought the last one because it's not showing up no more on the site.

Congratulations!
You saved me some $$$

I've been thinking about getting the Superion set but decided I would only get the Snoman version since the idea was to geewunn it up.
When I saw they jacked the price I was livid.
My Superion is already customized, so it doesn't NEED the upgrade, per se, but I did like the look of the thing.
