He turns into a UAV not a manned plane.
Here are some excllent examples of what he is

With that in consideration his size and design relationship
with Mindwipe make a bit more sense. It also has a nice
synergy with the new Voyager class Seaspray and scouts like
Scattershot, Beachcomber repaint and the upcoming Breacher.

Just wanted to get that out there. I've seen alot of
"stealth bomber/fighter" comments and complaints about him
not having a proper cockpit:

He's a UAV drone in alt-mode, he's not supposed to have a
cockpit just some sensors to help the remote pilot guide it.

Well I can't speak for everyone else, but I knew Skystalker would be a UAV or a unmanned spy place if you will. But like you said it makes sence for Skystalker to interface with Mindwipe, just like Breacher will interface with Sea Spray!


Anyway, Skystalker hasn't hit my area yet and i'm picking up 2 or 3 up of this guy to have a small army for Mindwipe!

When I first saw pics of this guy I thought it was pretty clever how his single optic on his robot head became the camera and sensor equipment in the front of his UAV mode. I think what people were complaining most about (at least the ones what know what he actually is) was that there is no clear plastic canopy over his sensors and optics in that mode.

To me the funny thing is about his "generic UAV" altmode is
that all the UAV's with that body style have their primary
air intake where his optic is.

I think he is an awesome little toy and would LOVE a purple/
burgundy repaint of him ala Ratbat. If they did a new head
for it, even better.

I consider him a minion of Mindwipe, but if you look at the tech specs, Skystalker has a higher rank! Maybe he's hypnotized into being Mindwipe's minion

When we first saw pics of him they said he was one of those unmanned drones. I don't know why they call him a stealth jet on the package.

because kids don't want to play with an unmanned drone, they want a cool stealth jet to play with

I'm still waiting for the new wave of scouts to hit my area, and having just gotten Mindwipe tonight, Skytalker is at the top of my list right now.

AF pilots don't want to play with them, either, but about half the officers coming out of flight school have to, as well.

If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for kids.
