God Neptune Mold Issues?

A while back I purchased a very cheap God Neptune but it turned out to be in horrible condition. To be more precise, the joints were loose (except for the turtle mold, where they were ridiculously tight), the various screws and caps were rusty, some of the gold paint was smudged (an attempted Sharpie fix?), and more alarmingly the shark character had severe plastic stress on his nose to the point where he couldn't be transformed from leg to shark, the squid mold had distortion where the robot legs/squid head are attached to the metal pin so again, transforming from limb to squid was impossible, and the ray mold had incredibly loose joints.
Obviously the figure had been severely mishandled (maybe at some stage a child had got their hands on this childrens' toy) but I've heard about the Club Pirhanacon set having some mold issues. I really want to buy another God Neptune but can anyone tell me; are any of the problems above inherant to any God Neptune rather than just the one I got?

I say you got unlucky with that loose God Neptune. Unfortunately, my original loose G1 Piranacon isn't perfect either (I need to replace Seawing (aka Kraken), and need his and Skalor's (aka Gulf) guns). My Overbite is either very tight or has some distortion inside the legs which makes transforming him a delicate task, and your Scylla sounds like it could happen to my Tentakil. All in all, I'd say these are design faults with the toy
The Club release does have some mold degradation, mainly on Overbite's (the shark) hole for the gun, but God Neptune should be safe if you can find it in box. One more thing though: he does not have GPS.

You got a bad one.
The Club Piranacon had other issues.

It may not have GPS, but the kind of plastic used on the green parts of the turtle (I forgot his name) and the combiner bits is almost as weak.

Thanks for the advice guys. I just bought a MISB God Neptune so hopefully he's okay!

Congrats

Do you also have Scuba (Claw Jaw) and Big Horn? If so, you can have that infamous love triangle with Scylla (the squid, she's female)

I do have Claw Jaw but no Bighorn! But in my mind my figures have enough crazy interactions as it is.
Just to warn anyone else who buys this: the Scylla mold fresh out of the box had a mild issue. The twin plastic pegs around the metal pin at her knees were not parallel, but already bent slightly inward. It's not preventing transformation or anything but it's a small concern.
