There needs to be a 3rd party that makes new Cassette Robots

Seriously, there are groups that are making things from as small as weapons and headmasters to figures the size of Nova Prime, but have we seen robots that turn into cassettes yet? No we haven't. The black rumble/frenzy is close, but not a cassette, so he doesn't count.

We could have modern Steeljaws or Ramhorns or Slugfests, or new figures like turtles or snakes (I've seen pretty awesome renders for both)

Come on, someone must be working on something! I have money I want to throw at you!

As a lover of Tapeformers, I gotta agreee here. New versions still compatible with Soundwave and Blaster? I'd buy those in a heartbeat.

I have to agree, I wouldn't buy them(I only buy movie stuff...) but who wouldn't like to see a better Overkill?

Amen, especially now that DL Blaster is back on the radar.

Hear hear. Ever since I got the TRU Comm Soundwave, I've craved more tapes. I picked up the Univ. 2 Ravage, which is great, and a bunch of cheap KOs that don't actually fit in SW but look decent posed around him. I want some that fit inside and have nice quality without costing a fortune.

Totally want that to happen too, i even wan a DL Blaster convertion kit to make a new soundwave ( just a new head, chest piece and guns)
frenzy = rumble
frenzy retooled = rewind and eject
ravage retooled = steeljaw
plus there are all those color variants like The ehobby cobalt cassettes and do on...

A DL blaster upgrade kit could come with a cassetticon and a rifle (he does not come with a weapon), sane for The soundwave upgrade
kit

I know right?! Cuz like, I use cassettes with my computer all the time! Nah, I'll be good when those Shadow Warriors get repainted. Otherwise reissues and Classics are good enough for me. Although if someone were to do such a thing, I'd gladly eat my words.

@Mkhall well,Takara has released a couple of the molds already, especially the hard to find ones (a bit of overkill with Ravage and Laserbeak molds though). Now all we need is Slamdance and Squawkbox and we're nearly home free. The other Japanese exclusives (animal cassettes), well the icing on the cake.

We did get the Autoscout. Two versions of that, if you don't mind the extra stuff in the GoW set.

But I agree. With some modern engeneering, the old cassettes could be very well done indeed.

Bah, G1 engineering in new packaging. As awesome as they are, I'm sure they could be remade. We have the technology, we can make them better, more articulated,

Like Universe Ravage? He had even less articulation than the G1 version :P

Indeed, I would love to see what a company could do with the current tech to give us some nifty Cassettes.

Articulated G1 items? Blasphemy, then it wouldn't be G1

but at least the slightest breeze doesn't knock him over.

All we need now is 6 Billion Dollars. :P

I would love to see Botch or something similar:
http://www.iaconcity.com/
Best fan made cassette EVER!
Maybe even cassette based weaponry or stuff like that.

I have to admit. Botch would pretty cool if it could be done properly.

If we can get a 3rd party just doing obscure headmaster pieces, somebody with the means should be out there willing to work on cassettes.

3rd party cassettes sound great! I'd buy 'em! You know some of those sneaky 3rd party people got to be watching the board right? Give the people what they want!Hazaah for retooled G1 cassettes! (Especially for Soundwave...) :CON:

I'd buy 3rd party cassettes. I already plan to get Autoscout after Adepticon.
