ROTF Armourhide as Hound?

Would ROTF Armourhide make a good "Movie-verse" Hound stand-in? Or is there another mold that would fit with the character/style of Hound better?
I haven't seen any Armourhides around my neck of the woods (Winnipeg, MB, Canada) so is he widely available yet or is he still a pretty recent release?
Thanks!

I would think Brawn would better suit the role of Hound stand-in, but Armorhide would work. Rarity-wise, i've seen a couple floating around here

Thanks for the response.
I'd considered using Brawn, but he looks more armoured than Armourhide (ironically enough) and I feel that Hound should look more like a scout, and the Dune Buggy alt-mode looks more suitable to this role than Brawn's SUV (4x4 or not). Of course, I'll shell out the money for AH and then for the TF3 line they'll issue a new mold or a repaint of an existing character as hound...

Every time I have an idea for some movie dude...so does someone else!
I think Armorhide will work so long as you change the head.
For one there is a movie Hound design and Armorhide's head looks nothing like it and his head just doesn't seem "Houndy" enough.

I would go for Landmine since he's green and Hound is green. Armorhide looks too much like a Decipticon.

Landmine is grey.
I don't think either make a very good Hound.

Crap! Now I have to go find a Dune Runner!

Dune Runner seems reasonable, if a bit small... but then that too would fit in with the idea of a 'scout'. What class is he? Was he from the '07 or '09 movie lines?
Thanks.

Dune Runner is a Scout class ROTF figure. He's been repainted as Beachcomber and there's another repaint that was shown at the 2010 toy fair.

It's the cannons that do it. Without them, he'd be another generic military figure, but with them, he looks a lot like Hound.

Dune Runner would be a pretty good choice. It would be better than the others I suppose.

Thanks gents, I picked up Dune Runner today at my local Superstore. They had about 50 scout class figures, but only one Runner that I could see. They didn't have a single Armorhide. DR'll look great duking it out with my only other scout class figure, Dirt Boss.
On the topic of Dune Runner, what's with the lousy Paint app on the head? Every single one I've seen (in person or in pictures) has some brown/gold paint splattered on his visor. Not much of a problem to fix, but still...
Anyways, thanks again. I'm going to go check out his gallery for some pose ideas.

I actually found a Dune Runner yesterday too, and bought him... but now I'm not so sure. The blue in robot mode really throws it off. That's the reason I didn't buy him originally too. I might just return him.

I just haven't been impressed with the mold, and too many people have said that it just isn't really great. I have Landmine and Armorhide, so I really don't see the point of grabbing the scout class dune buggy toy. It is hard to beat the deluxe of this particular alt mode.
Hound is really not getting any luck! I wish they would just make a RoTF Hound. I would be running to get that.

Me too, me too. Also, Prowl. Ah well.
I've had a few days to examine Dune Runner, and I'm quite happy with the purchase. Although this mold is truly perfect as Beachcomber (and has aptly been repainted as such) I like it better than what I've seen of the Landmine/Armorhide molds... although since I don't own one, I can only make the judgement call from pictures. However, on those larger dune buggies, I like everything except their heads!
Dune Runner is a cool little bot, and he'll function as my Hound stand-in for now. I also think it's pretty funny that the only other scout I have is Dirt Boss, who's repaint Deadlift was packaged with Beachcomber. Fate?

To clarify one thing...when I said Armorhide would work...I meant with repaint-inating(AGH! Doofenshmirtz mode!)...but I'd choose him over Dune Runner for one thing:scale.
Not sure which head would work though...Armorhide's sure doesn't...

Yeah, I think Landmine/Armorhide is a good mold for Hound, so long as you change the zombie head!

I actually sold off my Landmine just before I got Beachcomber, because I don't really like the bot mode. The head is ugly and I don't care for the wheel feet. But if they were to remold the head in the future I would consider purchasing it again. It did have some really cool features.
