I haven't picked up a lot of the movie figures but I've always like Bludgeon and the look of the ROTF toy has me interested in buying one.
Is it worth picking up? Do both modes look pretty good? How is his articulation?

What's not to love about a samurai with a skeletal face that transforms into a tank? Hidden swords? Bonus!! This is one of the best figures from the R.o.t.F. line sir.

1. He's great.
2. His look doesn't fit with the ROTF movie figures.
As far as I'm concenred, the N.E.S.T. line (aside from a few lame repaints) is a separate line from the ROTF line, and superior to the ROTF designs.

Saw him, bought him, loves him. I don't buy movie toys, but I did pick Lockdown and Bludgeon up because both don't look so movie-ish. He's a great figure, has good articulation, carries an Effn Sword(!!), semi skull head (c'moooon HeadRobots for a better one), and his alt mode is solid. I say pick him up now, because once he's outta retail, I'm gonna assume that his price will only go up.

He's my version of Classics Bludgeon, and since he was designed to fit into that line, bonus points.
He's made of win, basically.

I don't like the movie aestetic, but I loves me some Bludeon. IMO, he's one of the few must haves from the line.
The articulation in excellent and the vehicle mode is probably the second best tank mode I've seen (first best going to Leader movie 1 Brawl).

i don't love him or hate him, I know I must be in the minority on this. I think it has something to do with the head. I do realize that it is a throwback to G1, but I still don't care for it. His alt mode is damn near perfect though.

I'll double down on that sentiment. This guy is obviously
Classics Bludgeon--he belongs in any Classics collection and is probably one of the most overdue (and most well-done!) homages in a while.
Pick him up; you won't be disappointed.

One of the few figures I actually found that lives up to the hype... I can kinda see Grahf's point, his head could be better, but he looks damn good overall and is a helluva lot of fun.

Quick question - does his chest look as feminine (boobies!) in personal as it does in Ryan's photos?

I always thought it looked more like a face myself.

Hehe, I hadn't thought of it that way... I can see where there might be some visual cues like that, but in-person, I don't think it really evokes that. It seems to visually play off of his skull visage... (not to get too art-schooly but) like a repeated pattern of his skull face on his chest armor (as Grahf hinted at). Visually, looks stunning.
To answer the OP, Bludgeon is too cool for school; get him. Great look in both modes, good articulation, lots of cool little features (the paired swords that can connect or be used individually, hidden turret scabbard, can sheathe both swords at his side, etc). Totally worth it. I have him standing as part of a triumvirate display with Mindwipe & Lockdown.

It is a must have, basically because it is a must have. I'd be lying if I said it is my favorite figure of any line, but I urge everyone to get it. It is a great figure.

I think it looks like a cross between a skull and Nite Owl II's Owlship "Archie" from The Watchmen.

QFT. I haven't picked him up for that reason. He's too skeletal for my tastes.

The bold statement is making me re-think picking him up...same reason I picked up TFA Arcee. Curses!
EDIT: Stopped into Target on the way home, they had one, and he was on sale, so I broke and bought him.
*shakes fist in air* CURSE YOU PRIME EVIL!!!!

He probably will go up in price once he is no longer on the market. If you think he might be something you want, then you better get out there.

Don't ask, just pick him up.
The only complain I have is if his fists can bend forward so he looks like pointing the swords forward, that will be totally awesome and perfect.
The gray soft plastic area? if you are okay at brushing, you can do it by yourself
like I did. He has lots of places that can do some color/line improvement.

He's got the all the nifty details and realistic alt mode of the Movie lines, but has far more character. And swords! And the articulation needed for sword poses.
Can't un-see the angry zombie E.T. chest, though.

I count myself among the few who could take him or leave him... to be honest, I think his face is just waaaay to white. If they'd done it with a touch more grey or beige, I think it would have contrasted a bit better and really improved the look of the whole thing.
Despite that, he is a robotic Samurai, which significantly ups his win-quotient. If I find him in a store, I'll have a hard time putting him down!
