Nice review.

It seems like a shame that the swords are so brittle. Maybe they'll make extra swords as add-ons ... just in case. Maybe that's just wishful thinking.

I agree, it's too bad the sword is seemingly so brittle. However, it's just one issue with an otherwise impressive figure. I'm very happy to see FP successfully produce such an outstanding figure. The transformation design in particular is something that intrigues me the most because it looks involved and satisfying without being frustratingly complicated. The way that FP added plastic parts for the friction clips on the diecast metal components shows who well thought out this product design is. It's also very cool to see that FP included an adapter piece for using an Action Base.

Makes me uber-glad I have this guy on the way from BBTS right now. A great review with some humor and good shots of the figure throughout!

A good review, and personally I thought the on-screen comments to what he was saying were funny. I may have to look up a few of his other reviews, but either way, it makes me REALLY impatient for my POL to ship in May.

O.M.F.G. IT HAS HOLSTERS! THAT IT CAN ACTUALLY GRAB FROM BECAUSE ITS ARTICULATION ALLOWS!

I am so excited right now. It's amazing. Really cool looking in every mode, great sculpt and colors, excellent design, and near-perfect articulation. Everything I hoped for, except for the tiny heels. I can see that being a little annoying. I'm not too worried about the sword, because I tend to be pretty careful with my figures, but at least I know beforehand.

So badass. I can't believe I have to leave this in my Pile of Loot until Bruticus comes out. :BANG_HEAD:

Edit: Also, I love this guy's reviews, they're always so fun to watch. :D

Internet Personality Vangelus has reviewed FansProject's first stand alone figure, the Warbot Defender.
The video quality can be off at times as youtube is still processing it since it's pretty lengthy. But this minor problem should be resolved soon.

IPV is a reviewer I've subscribed to for quite some time now. Always great reviews with a good balance of humour and critical analysis. He's a big action figure collector as well so he brings a seasoned perspective to his reviews.

Seeing as FP seems to have hit a homerun with their first full action figure, I wonder what their next figure will bring to the table?

the uglyness and oddness of his legs is why I didn't buy him.
I hope FP does one of their famous revisions to the mould.

Don't they have a quasi-Broadside too?

Yes they do, I can't remember what they are calling it though. They also have a Junkion designed called Collector, and an original character combiner set called the Glacialbots based on perhistoric animal alt modes.

Any news on prototypes for those figures aside from concept art pictures?

Not to my knowledge. If I remember correctly they revealed the concept are for all those guys and Defender at the same time. So maybe now that Defender is out they will move on one of these, or the Protector upgrade.
