will the Alternity waves make it to the US? Also, how big are they? are they the same scale as Alternators and Human Alliance?

I believe it was either a question at Botcon or via Hasbro's Q&A, the company has no intention of releasing the Alternity series under their name. Alternity figures are much smaller than Alternators/Human Alliance class figures, I believe they are close to being Deluxe sized.

Blurrz right, The last thing I heard about it was that Alternity is an agreement between TakaraTomy and the specific auto manufactures. Hasbro didn't participate in it.
Here is a real quick picture for scale. Like Blurrz said, Alternities are basicly Deluxe class figures.

Get them. I got Bumblebee and Cliffjumper to go with the Alternators and Masterpieces and their awesome. So awesome that I got the blue Megatron for Beast Wars Megs and silver Convoy for Jazz (Reprolabels sets are on the way!) and BBTS has the upcoming asian con exclusive Magnus preordering for only $65! Now I'm considering the Starscream and Skywarp and the only thing holding me back is the lack of Thundercracker. Eventually, I'll swing back full circle and get the red Optimus Prime and Nemesis Prime.
Once you pop, you just can't stop. Seriously, these things need a warning label!

I only have a couple, mainly because I don't like the way some of them look. Prime should be a truck in my mind, so rather than buy the regular Convoy version, I got Black Convoy instead to serve as Nemesis Prime.
Bumblebee actually turned out being really cool as well and sits with my Alternators & BTs. Love his little dual pistols, and he's a pretty good homage, fatness and everything.
They're cool figures but they are really expensive for what they are. I suppose if Hasbro ever brought them over they'd probably be cheaper, but I can't really see them doing it anytime soon.

You can pretty much bank on a Thundercracker to be released sooner or later...

I have the silver and the black Convoy, and out of the hundreds of Transformers I own, for some reason I keep these two MISB. They just look so nice in their packaging

Psst...you can open them, transform them back and forth, and then put them right back in the packaging with the only minute difference a small piece of tape on one end being cut, but don't tell anyone.

A lot of it comes down to how much display space I have at the moment. You have to admit though, the Alternity packaging is pretty sweet.
