Other 3rd Parties - Would you please stand up!

Seriously. I know FansProject has defined themselves with their newest creation - Defender, it's basically the epitome of hard work and good design. But where did everyone else go?

I know Mastermind Creations's MMC-01 is in stock with our sponsors soon, and some more HoS Characters are going to get created (I can't get into details with the general public), but I atleast want to see something!

CrazyDevy will continue with their add-ons, but nothing new from them really catches my eye. They need something drastic to impress.

HeadRobots, oh I can't wait for Hardhead, but it's been more than a month without updates and I'm getting impatient.

Perfect Effect, the Shadow Warrior was cool and a nice figure to go with Commander, but there needs to be more. Heck, I'd be satisfied with repaints, and that's saying something.

Mastercollectors, they probably took a vacation from the $ they got from their Nova Prime and will never show up again..

Impossibletoys, showed us their arcee video and went into hibernation again?

I know FansProject is King, but that shouldn't stop any of these companies. For goodness sake, why does Hasbro and the third parties take their breaks at the same time!

Seriously.

The more updates we get, the more anticipated the figures.parts become, and the more likely they are to sell out.

Look at TFCC P/CP for goodness sake!

Unicron.com made accessories for TF Animated and Vector Sigma recently as well as some other stuff in the past.

Sorry to say but 3rd parties cannot cater to your wishes and demands. There are ancillary aspects that need to be taken into consideration.

First is always cost. Money meeds to be raised to fund the next project.
Second is profit. These companies are in this business to make money. As a side effect they make toys that they like to see that Hasbro wont ever get around to.
Third is the fans. Take for example the Bruticus upgrade. They spaced out Explorer and Munitioner so poor fans can afford them. At least that is the excuse.

There are probably many other reasons as well. Timing is crucial. You dont want products to compete against another better and more popular product.

Look at how movies are released against another. There was very little that was released at the same time with Avatar.

With regards to hothead. it is on track. they are sourcing costs for the mold.

be patient. I mean Fans Project showed us Rodimus Prime, Matrix, and Classics Megatron (scaled to fit in starscream and Prime) Yet we have not heard anything about those since TFCON 09.

Given that 3rd parties are cranking out toys on a timely basis is pretty good. Take for example Takara and Hasbro's release schedule. even worse!!! Heck the TFCClub took what, +4 years to release Nexus Maximus entirely!!!!

Well, we do know that the classics Matrix and Mini-Megs gun won't be made, so I don't ever expect to see them made. The last Protector preview we've seen was in August 2009.

Personally if a 3rd party company can re-do all the minicassette figs up to modern-day articulation, I will give them lost of money. Why has no one done that yet?

I agree. I think the 3rd party material has been fantastic. I happen to like their material a little bit more these days than what Hasbro has been producing. (I'm more excited by it to say the least..) I just wish there was more 3rd party material being released now.

Of course I wouldn't mind if Hasbro released something now either...
