Six of one... Reverb is a repaint of Knockout; Backfire is a repaint of either

This is the fourth deco for the motorcycle dude. Is he really selling strong enough for that? I'm kinda sick of seeing him myself.

Ya know, despite the fact that I own regular '07 voyager Ratchet and the follow-up "Rescue" version, I WOULD have probably still bought this N.O. version if they had thrown in a gun, LIKE HE HAD IN THE MOVIE. I bought the recon IH because of the new weapons, after all, not the paint job. This Ratchet is just another uninspired repaint.
Pass on the Knockout clone too. ONE version of that figure is more than enough for my collection. They seem to really be using the heck out of that particular mold for some reason. And IMO it's one of the least striking scout molds to boot.

Backfire is a FAIL repaint of a FAIL mold, pretty much FAIL.
Ratchet looks better in the darker colors than the puke green, but still not my cup of tea.
More passes for me!

I wouldn't mind the ROTF Bike mold, if only the leg plates didn't pop off every off time and had terrible balancing issuies. Although I'll probably get Backfire because he's totally in Canadian colors.

this is like the 100th repaint of both of these molds. I'm tired of all the repaints for this line. I'm finding it hard to even imagine taking an interest in the third movie.

Not me, man. I'm army building with this little dude!
I really like the mold and it displays well next to movie stuff, classics and even alts where it is in really good scale.

Wow, they're really milking the repaints for all they're worth. I have the first G1-inspired Ratchet so I won't be picking this up, and while I actually do like the motorcycle mold, I already have one, so I have no reason to get this.

I'm with you reptras! I like this mold. But I only have the Knockout version and none of the Con versions of this mold. I'll definitely be getting Backfire. They'll be my bot equivalent to Rumble and Frenzy!

On a related note, I clear-banded the gun from Deluxe Ratchet to the '07 Voyager Ratchets' hand and it looks pretty darn good if I say so myself! The colors blend in well with the figure, but it's a bit of a trick to get it positioned just right.

I don't have the Bike mold yet.
Wasn't really fussed about it, then they did this repaint.
I used to collect McFarlane's Spawn toys back in the late 90's Loved all the different versions of Spawn,
and now there's this one, in just the right colors and general shapes (The head and the chest and the colour on the limbs that its Transformer Spawn!
Once I repaint the eyes green and whack some chains on him he'll be sorted

ANyone else notice in Backfire's bio is the first hint we get of this "Oil Pan" character that turned up in the WalMart computer in another article? Apparently he's a high-speed Scout class mold...any guesses?
For the record, I kinda like the Knockout mold. Yeah, they've used him too may times in one year, but I still dig him (of course, I have a thing for motorcycle TFs).

I was getting a Spawn vibe from him too. The Knockout mold would be great if it weren't for the leg panels coming off so easily or the weak waist connection.
