http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4031/448 ... 128207.jpgLooks like one of the old microman gunrobo's, but has a decepticon sticker and part of a 1988 catalog with piranacon and the pretenders featured in headmasters.
Does anyone know who this guy is?

That is Browning named because he transforms into a browning M1910 pistol.

The mold is definitely Browning from the Microman line. I don't believe he was ever released as a TF under any line. Maybe that's just a prototype pic.

It's a great figure if you can get one with hands. I use him as a counterpoint to Orion Pax, like a pre-Decepticon Megatron.

I'd love to have one for myself, but I have a sinking feeling that if I start looking for one it will be way out of my prioe range.

There is a pretty nice KO running around of him. I had the original Microman version for years. He is quite small in the Masterforce anime, though he's not that tiny as a toy.

You can get one stripped (without hands & weapons) surprisingly cheap. I got a Micro Change Robo Browning for $30 on eBay and found hands for it at Cybercon in Jersey like 5 years ago. Rare and cool as it is, there just isn't the demand to drive the price up. Keep on eye on eBay and you should get lucky eventually.

In the show he's supposed to be lifesized. The toy and the cartoon are a 1/1 ratio.

I should note I have ALWAYS believed he would have made a MUCH better Megatron than, well, the original G1 Megatron toy. They should have chosen THAT one of the GunRobos to build from.

It's a full inch too short and Megatron looks more obviously "bad guy" but it was one of the toys considered.
