I was just playing around with my Jazz figure and discovered that he does have a gun. Ive been woundering why the sword can attach to the sheild. I thought it was just weapon storage but after i took the sheld/sword combo off his shoulder i remembered the pic of Jazzs weapons. I put the combo on his arm and there it was his gun. It doesnt look 100% like the pic but its close enough. All you need to do is put the sword on his arm keep the blade in and attach the sheild to the top of the gun. I just found my camera so when i find batteries that work ill take a pic to show what i mean.

Wow! I never noticed that before, and it does make sense since the concept art showed Jazz's gun and shield forming together to make a... a... gun-shield... thing.

I don't get why they call it a sword at all. I picked it up about an hour ago and my first thought wehn looking at it wasn't sword but rather sniper rifle.

If they made Jazz in a voyager size I bet the weapon would look a little more like the concept drawing. Really the shield should break down into two parts to get the correct effect. As it is the shield just looks overwhelmingly big in comparison.

They need to make voyagers for evrey deluxe figure. I really want to see a Barricade and Jazz one.

O_o...I didn't even catch that. Thanks for the tip M_W.
See, it's things like this that Hasbro leaves out of their instructions that just infuriate me.
Such as Bonecrusher's legs...in case anyone didn't know (I sure didn't, for days) the wheel his claw feet are sitting on, actually swing in and out. Out for vehicle mode (so the claws stabilize the rear deck), and in for robot mode so he actually stands and balances on the claws.
None of that was listed in Bonecrusher's instructions.
It's a terrible shame too. One extra piece of print wouldn't have killed them. This is one instance where I must say Takara wins out, they do an excellent job of telling what the figure's capable of and how it works.

I have to agree, I prefer the Voyager class over the deluxe class when it is possible to get a figure in both sizes. With the movie figures being as detailed as they are, Voyager will probably better suit most of them.

It amazes me how many grown ups rely on the freakin instructions!!! THey are there to help the pfrustrated parents of frustrated 5 year olds, the only time i can remember using teh instructions for a toy were for MP starscream, i even managed mp prime sans instructions-all my instructions are still safely wrapped away MISP

I just got him and I really like him dispite the crab arms. I don't like how his weapon attaches to his arm either so I'm going to use it as a shoulder cannon.

Uh. Read your instructions again. Theres a step that explains exactly how to pivot in his wheels to help form the foot.

if you put the gun up side down it will look like it because if you see the picture of him on one of his knees you'll see the shield is facing down
