Kup, Perceptor, and Blurr

I've been reading the graphic novels of All Hail Megatronand I've been thinking about the characters and the fact that they need newer, updated figures. I really want to see an old war veteran Kup, a Perceptor that is a bad-ass sniper, and a sleek Blurr figure.
Some updated Insecticons would be good too!
Anybody else think so?

I was very tempted to pick up the TRU re-issue Perceptor, as there isn't a very good toy out there to repurpose into Classics Perceptor. He's one of my favorites (me being a real life scientist) and he defiantly needs an update.
Blurr is getting a retool of Generations Drift, that should be fine unless someone manages to screw up and five him a Bayverse face.
*WISHFULL THINKING*
Kup too. Cybertron Breakdown just didn't do it for me. Mayhaps we'll see a Fansproject "Veteran" figure in the future?

??

BotCon Kup is WAY better than people give him credit for.

He's nice, but I want grizzled old Kup, not shiney new Kup.

That's what I'm talking about! I'd love to have the spark plug cigar thing hanging out of his mouth too!

That would be great for that "Hannibal" from the A-team look, but a nightmare in terms of pitching a kids toy that would be seen "condone" smoking. We know why it would be there but;

I'm currently using Universe Countdown as my classics perceptor. He's not too bad actually. And if the rumour pans out, we're getting Blurr too. So things are good.

I just wish I could find him for under $80.

BBTS has the full set for $225. Which is crazy cheap. I was happy when I got a set for $265 in january from them.

...And I've seen complete 2009 box sets go for even cheaper on eBay. I myself bought a complete MIB set with unopened accessories and including all paperwork for $222 in February.
Kup is definitely one of the highlights of that set, which even surprised me.

Which Blurr do you think is the best one? I've got the G1, Cybertron and Animated.

Animated gets the job done.
We'll wait to see what being a Drift remold will have to offer. I'm not up for being a remold of some no-name character, but I'm so fast, I'll go back in time and everyone will think that Drift is the remold of Generations Blurr. Oh yeah.

Agreed.. I so wish they would make an updated G1 style Kup.. Not the Botcon one (I don't have that one.. can't afford it).
Give me a nice Kup classic and I will be one happy camper.

Doesn't Scourge sell for like, $125 or more by himself?
Plus you get Classics Thunderclash.

Good point. I just don't have a spare $225 lying around, I'm afraid. Heck, I don't have a spare $80 either, so it's all just wishes and dreams.

Whom I love, except for two bum heel spurs. Both of the tension pegs have a ton of extra plastic, and the spurs won't stay on

It seems like too much plastic to safely cut off.

I'm surprised that Perceptor hasn't gotten a Universe update, either. Well, technically he did get the legends repaint version which actually is not all that bad, especially when originally done for a character that you would have never thought of as Perceptor.
Not to make CP cray, but I am considering trading off my BotCon Kup, just because I really dont feel like I need the entire 09 set (and add-ons) as part of my collection. I plan on keeping the ones that tie into G1 and G2, though. I know Kup sorta does but the arm and the elite guard symbol just sorta detract from him feeling like a true universe style Kup for me. If anyone is interested in trading for (or buying) Kup, Lanshark or Flak send me a PM.
As for the old, wrinkly Kup, yeah I'd love to see that. They never really gave us a G1 one in his true Sunbow colors, either.
My favorite Blurr is Cybertron Blurr, he's really the only one they ever got even close to getting the head mold and overall colors right on. Evil BotCon Blurr is pretty cool, too.

I expect you to come bursting through a brick wall in a blue blur as a pitcher of rasberry Kool Aid.
OH YEAH!

If Blurr advertised Kool-Aid I would be tempted to start drinking the **** again.
Also, 88mph is not very impressive, but nice try Blurrz

88 mph is pretty impressive when the Flux Capacitor is functioning properly.

Botcon Kup is real nice, but I'd like a fresh Kup classic figure that's truer to the G1 model. Preferably stands taller too, since Protector, Magnus, Springer and Blurr will all stand taller than the botcon one.
Still, botcon Kup looks fantastic with Hot Rod, Energon Arcee and Cybertron Blurr. Just the right size.
