since all the leaders in both movies have had repaints
do you think leader starscream will have a repaint
if so what will the colors be
maybe he will not have the tatoos or he will have the nebular look and say "all bow down to starscream!"

'2007 Movie Starscream' and Voyager Bonecrusher were falsified rumors.

Leader Starscream wasn't released in the main Revenge of the Fallen toyline because there were already three Leaders released.

Maybe without the tattoos, or some weird repaint from out of left field. I doubt they'll repaint it into Skywarp or Thundercracker.

The sound effects do limit the repainting possibilities, however that can easily be gutted and repainted into THundercracker/Skywarp :)

They changed them for shadow command Megatron, he says "there is no command but mine!" or something like that. All the leader class repaints so far have been the same character, I doubt Starscream will be any different.

Where is ROTF Leader Class Starscream?

I thought Leader SS was to be released around the end of March. In addition the shelves have been stagnant at all stores for a few weeks now. Nothing new or exciting. Is Hasbro not shipping TF products right now? When can we expect to see Leader SS? Thanks for any info.

So what you are saying is that Leader Class SS is not part of the ROTF line and you have no idea as to when it is to be released?

So who does know?

Any upcoming "ROTF" toys will actually be part of the general 2010 line. I'm expecting them to appear around summer, but the Legends are due now if the reviews are any indication.

Not Legends, they're Scouts.

Expect Starscream to be in June/July. He was never meant to be in the main ROTF toy line, but he'll be in the continuing movie line.

Ben of BWTF.com has reviews of Legends Rampage and Ravage up.

I think we should be seeing him by May/June. But as much as I want him, I'm running out of money here! :P

Why do you say that? They've done that with every other Seeker.

Well maybe, but on the other hand it's nice to have things to look forward to. If they'd tried making one for the first film it probably wouldn't have come out so great, like the first Leader Prime, which is a great figure but not very accurate.

My theory is that Hasbro's decision to not make a Leader SS for the first movie was due to uncertainty of how the movie might do. I'm not too sure, but the toyline for the 2007 Bayverse movie was rather "conservative" compared to ROTF, with most of it's toys basically in the deluxe and voyager range.

I think it was only after they realized just how successful the movie was, that Hasbro started to produce all those Leader OP and Megs repaints.

Personally, I think it was a wise choice to save the Leader SS idea for ROTF. With the success of the first movie, Hasbro must have poured in a far bigger budget for R&D and cost, resulting in a higher-end and better designed toy. Plus, the design team now have more experience from designing the 2007 and ROTF voyager figs, and can use the time and know-how to further perfect the Leader class toy.

Besides, even with such moderately spaced release dates, my wallet's nearing meltdown point.

I combined all the Leader Starscream threads I could find.

Try looking around every now and again for existing subject matter.

One good reason why Hasbro released Leader SS after ROTF is that maybe they're waiting for Thundercraker and Skywarp for TF3. (who will be the voice and new head sculpts)

Aussie toy fair said that the TF's on the gold packaging will hit the shelves in June/July

Every other leader class repaint has been the same character. We haven't gotten Ultra Magnus or Galvatron repainted from Optimus or Megatron.
