Seibertron member MADCAT4 has informed us that Japanese Online toy store - Red Mercury has open the pre-order for the new Voyager Class of Movie Optimus Prime.
We have seen this figure in the recent Toy Fair 2010.

According to Red-Mercury, the release date of this figure in Japan will be on the 25th September 2010.

something is not right about this fig.
i need to see a properly transformed version to even comment.

Do my eyes deceive me, or am I looking at what could be the perfect Voyager Movie Optimus Prime?

Once again, this guy's pretty cool, but I think I'll stick to my custom Leader. It is neat that he has two guns and two blades, but wow, the general mold looks like a miniature of the Leader.

Wait, so this Prime has 2 swords and 2 guns? That's better than even Buster Prime, from a technical standpoint. Only thing I don't like is all that unpainted gray plastic. It just looks sooooo bad!

Maybe I'll change my mind when I see a bigger picture but it looks more accurate than the leader.

Nice, it does look like that they have taken some transformation cues from the Leader figure. Only the pieces of the trucks bonnet/nose on the arms spoil it.

Dont worry, this thing shd have 100099 repaints in the pipeline....

The legs appear to be really thin and the feet too small (proportion wise).

the perfect optimus. now can we get voyager jetfire? pleeeeaase? i don't even care if it doesn't combine

I can't quite remember, but was it THIS voyager figure that was canceled which was going to be packaged with those Jetfire parts that you can attach or turn into a trailer? Or was that the 2007 voyager Optimus? If it was this one then I might wait to see if they're still going to release it with the Jetfire trailer, otherwise I'd be buying this one AND that one.

I wonder if this new Prime will see a single packed release here in the states. I'd like to pick one up without having to get a Bumblebee

Looks great, except the way his hands are semi-hidden within the alt mode body panels on his forearms. Maybe the panels slide backwards.

Looks like another buy.

Yarp! It's same with Human Alliance Bumblebee...Ideal chest mould, so they've upscaled it for Battle Ops and now they've downscaled it for the new Deluxe.

Anyway, this new Optimus Prime looks a heck of a lot better than the previous Voyager...Do I dare consider a purchase?

Nothing was canceled. TakaraTomy's Jetpower Optimus Prime is still upcoming, and it's a repainted 2007 Voyager, with Jetfire parts.

But I'll wait for the inevitable shiny repaint Takara will be producing by the end of the year. Takara always does that, normal version very similar to Hasbro and then overkill super painted version a few months later, maybe that will come with hooks too?

Hm, he looks pretty good, definitely more movie accurate than the current one, but he just looks a little weird. His upper body seems really large versus his lower body. Notably his giant chest and his skinny legs. I'd like to see more before saying if I like it or dislike it.

Hmm. Looks pretty good, but since I already own 3 versions of Movie Prime, I'm going to have to pass? Unless they make this one combinable with some version of Jetfire, anyway.

It looks like his feet are mis-transformed, if you look close you can see his toes folded under his feet. But this is gonna be a definite buy!

Dude, I thought it was a leader class at first, I was like "Wow, cool, they're gonna have the Buster Prime in the U.S!", but then I saw it was a Voyager, then I was like "Wow, I can't believe I fell for that! How stupid could I get?" Well, this is as stupid as I can get:

Well, overall, I'm impressed. I really am.

Pros:
Dual guns
Dual swords
Takes what makes the Leader Class great and downsizes it

Cons:
The guns need a bit of work, they aren't quite..."right"
The arms are stuck with the hood half formed on them, and it looks weird
The legs are a bit spindly and makes his torso seem a bit disproportionate
The gold/copper/yellow plastic (which may not be permanent) just stands out too much

The cons, at least imo, far outweigh the pros, and the Leader Class is still the best in my book. He's definitely Masterpiece quality, and should be given far more positive marks than he's received.

For me, this Voyager will never do what the Leader has.
