If Hasbro won't do it, Takara will.

BBTS has pics of the Takara version of Wingbalde Optimus Prime.

He's looking very cool, and surprisingly enough, its the Voyager OP mold not the Deluxe.

Voyager sized figure + jet pack = about Ultra sized set, which makes the $55 price tag seem a bit better. Still high though.

Very cool, though I'm not one of the many enamored by the metallic paint job of the Takara TFA figures. I don't plan on getting the figures as I already have their first releases. This Wingblade OP will not fit in with my North American TFA collection.

As you can see the TakaraTomy version will include the Voyager Optimus Prime mold, while the Hasbro version would have included the deluxe earth-mode mold.

Yea I'll be grabbing this. I no-longer believe that Hasbro's going to release this anyway.

I dunno about that. But this seems like a pretty good excuse to get the TT Prime.

It is, I was actually on the fence about getting it, so the fact that this comes with the extra bits is a plus, especially considering that it looked ridicules on the deluxe version.

I laready own the Voyager Prime, but don;t own the Deluxe earth mode Prime.

While I would have liked to get him, the jetpack does look quite impressive on the Voyager. I may just cave in eventually.

Ok i'm torn right now.

I would like the (for lack of a better term) striker pack for existing voyager Prime, and was really hoping that Takara would release it with the smaller Prime I don't have, so i wouldn't have to concider buying a prime i've got already.

He looks pretty good, but it really looks like the Magnus Hammer is way too small. I would have thought that it would be about as big as the one that Leader Magnus carried, if not the same one but repackaged.

Maybe you could use Magnus' hammer? Ultra Magnus is one of the few Animated toys I own and I know it's not a Voyager figure, but maybe you could use the actual hammer to replace this one?

That's very likely. I was looking at an image of Ultra Magnus and the hammers seem to be similar in size except for the length and size of the head of the hammer.

This armor will work on both the Voyager and Deluxe Class Primes, so I'll buy him just for that, alone. I have no use for a second Voyager Class Optimus, so I'll probably end up selling him (considering I hate the paint job), but I'll keep the accessories and be happy.

I wasn't going to do it, but I need to make sure I don't miss out on these figures, so I went ahead and preordered Rodimus, WB Optimus, and Hydrodive Bumblebee.

Blackout's preorder is sold out, so I'll have to wait until they have him in stock, or restocked.

I know it seems crazy to pay double the price for these figures, but by the time I spend gas money, waste hours calling and driving around, only to come home empty handed, it's just worth it to pay the difference and be happy.

I'd love to support Hasbro and give them my money, but they're not making it easy. I was one of the lucky ones when it came to finding Arcee and Ratchet. I'm not sure that luck would come back again.

I also no longer have the patience to call the stores anymore. I hadn't done it in so long, it was an odd and uncomfortable experience when I had to for this round of TRU exclusives. I really don't want a repeat of that. Ugh.

I don't think that looks very good at all.

lol, I saw this on BBTS earlier but didn't know it was new, so I didn't bother posting.

Looks awesome, but I'll wait for the Hasbro one. I do wish they could just release the pack, because I have Voyager Prime and don't really want the Deluxe one. I know HasTak aren't in the business of accessory kits though. Oh well.

If my memory is holding up, theres a tab or a peg or something that holds the hammer in Magnus' hand right? I guess if that wouldn't prevent this here Prime from holding the hammer it ought to work out ok. At any rate, it was just an idea. Hopefully it works out for people who feel the same as you Megazarak. :D

Actually, I own both Voyager Prime and Ultra Magnus, and am pleased to say...

... the hammer handle is too thick for Prime to hold.

Well, alright then. I guess that solves that debate. Knowing is half the battle.

It seems the other half of the battle is going to be wedging that Ultra Magnus hammer in to Prime's hand. :D

Fortunately for you, this pack seems to provide Optimus Prime with a larger set of fists, which may just be big enough to accommodate the peg. And it also appears the gauntlet fists have a hinge so the fingers might be able to open.

TT can shove their glossy paint jobs right up their exhaust ports. The armor looks too small on the Voyager version and I really hate the shininess. I'm praying Hasbro pulls through. First a ruined Arcee, and now this? :-(

It's all about going big or going home. I'm sure there's a good explanation for this... and hey If this is in your collection with Hasbro figures, just think of this Prime as the Super beefed up Super Saiyan IV Optimus Prime.

And it's not like Hasbro isn't going to release their own Wingblade Prime... :KREMZEEK:
