The ultimate press kit from Hasbro ... includes a ton of movie related items!!!

Quite literally, this could very well be the best press kit ever (at least in the eyes of a Transformers fan).

I couldn't believe how generous Hasbro was to send this MASSIVE "press kit" to Seibertron.com today that included a large sampling of the products that will be available on June 2nd, 2007, in stores nationwide. Simply put: this thing is HUGE! It makes the AllSpark look like a Rubik's Cube. While I'm not quite sure where I'm going to put all of this stuff (those of you who have been to my apartment will know my dilemma), I thought I'd at least share some pictures of what I consider to be the best press kit that I've ever seen.

I can't say thank you enough times to Hunter PR and Hasbro so I'll just do what I do best and that's provide you guys with information about these products and this press kit as well as a bunch of pictures to help all of you get excited about this weekend's release of the movie products.

I've got to talk about the box itself ... it just has to be mentioned! It's beautiful! Hasbro's PR company, Hunter Public Relations (Hunter PR), has gone out of their way to spoil the people in the Transformers hobby who own the websites that bring you your daily (or hourly in some cases) doses of Transformers news and entertainment on a daily basis. I included some comparison pictures of Optimus Prime and Megatron from G1 to give all of you some scale reference just to see how big this box is. Hunter PR could've just shipped all of these products in a generic cardboard box, but instead, they transformed the box itself into a marketing device. I'm sure it caught the eyes of a few people at UPS. It certainly caught the eyes of about a dozen people while I was on my way home from UPS this evening with this giant frikkin' box (even got to hand out the ol' Seibertron.com business card a couple of times after a few conversations about the box which lead to conversations about the movie).

Here's the list of movie related items that were included in this phenomenal "press kit" (which could very well be one of the most unique collectibles that I now have in my collection):

Lithographs of Bumblebee and Barricade that includes a special message from Joe Moscone, one of Seibertron.com's contacts at Hunter PR.Robot Fighters game featuring Optimus Prime and MegatronOptimus Prime Voice Changer - no incriminating pictures of me yet wearing the helmet but wait until after the Seibertron.com bar outting at Botcon! ;)"Optimash Prime" Mr. Potato Head figureDeluxe Class Bonecrusher and Swindle"Transformers: Ghost of Yesterday" Prequel Novel by Alan Dean FosterT-Shirt featuring Barricade's police logo Small projector toy that shines an image of Optimus Prime (from Basic Fun)An updated version of the press kit we received at Toy Fair 2007. Includes all of the press releases that have been released to date. Love this kit, glad I've got two now!IDW's Official Movie Prequel #3Decepticon movie logo magnetOptimus Prime "Battle Rig Blaster"Leader Class Megatron (The icing on the cake: I would've been thrilled if this is all that they had sent though I'm definitely happy they went beyond the call of duty so that I could promote some of these other products). And just so all of you know that I haven't been "bought out", I still think Movie Megatron sucks but that doesn't stop me from being extremely excited about the movie and some of the other high points such as Optimus Prime, Spike and the classic premise of the Chevy Camaro versus the Ford Mustang).3D Battle Card Game "Sample Pack" ... looks like mine is Jetfire though I haven't opened it yet to see how this thing works yet.

And no, those aren't WSTFs ...

The perks of being the Boss.

I hate you so very, very, veeeeeeeeeeery much :P

One thing. In regards to this statement, "the classic premise of the Chevy Camaro versus the Ford Mustang", being that I am Australian and have no interest in cars (except giant transforming ones), is this like the Aussie Holden Commodore versus Ford Falcon debate? And if so then the makers of the movie have incorporated this age-old American debate by having the two models kicking the crap out of each other? I've never seen this discussed before on the boards, so excuse my ignorance if it has.

Mulla; The Chevy vs. Ford is almost exactly like the Aussie Holden vs. Ford dilemma, bar the fact I think if you are an Aussie you kinda have to have a preference of the two, no fence sitting.

You're lucky Ryan, not only do you have an awesome box to play with, you also dont have to bother with the dilemma of wasting your money on figures like Leader Megatron. I'm guessing the movie photo galleries will be a few items fuller in the next week or so...

So, when are we expecting a Leader Class Megatron gallery ;;)

And what are you going to do with the spare Swindle and Bonecrusher figures you now have?

Cheer for the help on that one. Personally on that one, I'm a fence-sitter. I'll buy something from a foreign maker.

I think Megatron and Optimash Prime will be the only things that come out of this for the galleries here on the site. Swindle and Bonecrusher are already on the site. Can't wait to do Optimash Prime ... debating if I should get a regular Mr. Potato Head, Darth Tader and the Spider-Spud. Seems a little ridiculous so I haven't done that yet.

How's this for freaky timing? As I was writing this response my roomate rang me and asked did I want Optimash Prime because he just found him at Target. I'm a little scared.

I personally have Spider-Spud and all three Star Wars ones. R2-D2, Darth Vader and the Stormtrooper came in the one package - a giant, clear orange Darth Tater that I now use as a cookie jar. R2-D2 even comes with a translucent mini Leia. I recommend them all, they're brilliant.

Now just have to wait for my roommate to get home so I can add Prime to the bunch.

Friday at the latest. Depends on how much work I can get done on him tomorrow night.

Not sure yet. For the time being, I put everything back in the box except for Megatron because I need to do the gallery of him tomorrow night now.

Can't wait. We all know you'll do the justice it deserves. If it deserves any justice, ugly thing it is :P That's not to say I'm not looking forward to this figure of course.

Why do I not get that from Hasbro?
I have sponsered them for over 20 years, have over 1350 different Transformers, bought tons of GI Joe (and sold it again for very little before the internet (and Ebay) took over) and what do I have to show for? I have to buy the Movie Starscream for almost 30 euros and Speed Dial for almost 13 euros...
Well, at least they are available in Holland already...

I recommend a nice imported cheese to go with your whine.

I'll be glad to take any duplicate stuff you have that you want to part with.. ;) Looking at all the new TF stuff coming out is making me ill as I know I can't afford any of it.. I may just wait for what I want of it to pop up on eBay where I can end up getting it cheaper than if I bought it in local stores (I don't understand the 40-50% markup in Canada when the dollar is almost the same as American dollars now).

Oops. i've been sitting on the proverbial fence for a long time. So the time has come to reveal my true allegiance: Ford. But only cause they liscence TF items

Oh, and this topic of the goodie box can only be described in three words: You lucky bastard.

I think I speak for all of us here when I say, Congratulations you son of a...

Seriously though, reading this site has gotten me so pumped for the movie that I am going to a foreign country just so I don't have to wait for it to be released here...even though I know full well that I'll see it AGAIN when it comes out in Japan. If ANYONE deserves crazy promo swag like that, it's you.

Wow, that is so awesome! I'm not even that big into the movie stuff, and I even think this is awesome news. It's reward for running such a great site! :D

Even though I don't like the movie Megs, I'm interested in a gallery of him just to see what he's like. Looking forward to it!
