Hey all, just thought I'd let you know that my Recon Ravage (the N.E.S.T. mailaway) just came in! It looks cooler in person. I haven't gotten him opened up yet, but I will put up a gallery when I do, unless someone beats me to it! You get a "letter" from Optimus Prime with the figure, as well as a pretty sweet coupon to save $5 on a $20 or more ROTF purchase. Nice.

Wow, that's a really neat package right there. The letter is kinda cool too. Corny, but cool. Glad too see they're finally getting out though.

Awesome!!!! Just curious, what region of the US do you live in and when did you mail in your order form?

Nice. Too bad I own everything ROTF except Red Rampage and Evac.

I live in Utah, so not too far from when it was mailed. I pretty much mailed it in the second I got my N.E.S.T. battle pack, which was right after the release. so.. yeah.

So we can expect our Recon Ravages to come in in the next few weeks? Let me see, sent off the 9th of April, add 6 to 8 weeks... mid to late May, which happens to have my birthday. Wouldn't that be funny

HA! That's so cool! Waiting on mine. I really thought it would just come in a box, you know? The letter from Prime is a great touch, someone really came thru with that. Funny that each letter in Prime's name appears to be directly translate. i would have thought Cybertronians would use a single symbol for their names. Like Prince. *waiting for the young'uns to ask what taht means*

The letter is a pretty cool touch, but if I got a letter like that and I saw a 5 dollar off coupon on the corner, I'd be like wtf. I , mean that could be the reward, but....

Now that I know what it all looks like I know I'm keeping mine in the box.. I have no need for the $5 off figures I don't need.. It's cool the box has the NEST logo on it

technically the cupon's a seperate piece of paper leaning against the letter.

Ok! I finally got around to taking some pics, and let me tell you.. this kitty is chromed out! It definitely sets it apart from the rest of the ROTF line. It's almost Henkei-like in that way.







Here's some comparison to the original. It's a lot louder, and not necessarily in a bad way.





And as for the coupon, it is a separate piece of paper, so no worries about cutting the letter up. I just propped it up as part of the pic, as already stated.

you should just take off all the cooler chrome parts and add them to the black ravage, it would look way better
but then again i'm not into the rotf line.

Quick question: Can I still send away for one? I havn't got the NEST Alliance pack yet but I will probably get it since I'm tired of searching everywhere for a Soundwave

Yep, the closing date was April 30th, and the ultimate date of Hasbro receiving the application is May 14th. Fortunately for you, Recon Ravage has been released as a Toys 'R Us exclusive in Canada, maybe someone up north can hook you up with one.

I'm going to embrace my geekiness and frame the letter from Optimus Prime, with my NEST patch. Yep.

FWIW I sent my check on 3/1, it was cashed on 3/16, and I'm in the Chicago suburbs.

i hope when hasbro gets the new boxes the paint is the same on the box and figure
looks like hasbro forgot A LOT OFCHROME according to the box shame on you HASBRO
