I found this violently colored item at a yard sale and just had to buy it. It's got a hasbro 1988 TM and decepticon symbol stickers. Besides that, I know its missing bits because the rear wheels have gears that they can engage.

It's G1 Roadgrabber's Pretender Shell.

That's Pretender Roadgrabber's Shell / Attack Chariot.

Its basically missing a couple of guns and ... well ... Roadgrabber. (and his rifle)

Who despite the name is actually a Jet / flying thing.

so he's a robot that can transform into a jet and decides to have a Pretender shell that's a car?

Hang on. He carries Pom Pom Freeze Lasers? Is that because he's a cheerleader and the freeze ray is hidden inside his pom poms or he uses his freeze ray to freeze cheerleader's pom poms, thus rendering them ...er... pom pom-less?

Yes! Don't you just love TF designers.

And the guns "convert" to flame thrower cannons just by turning them on their side. Now that's transformation the likes of which has never been seen before or since.

The most shocking thing is that they continued to make G1 toys for a couple years AFTER this.

I had (have...most of) Roadgrabber as a kid. Probably one of my first, if not THE first TF I ever got. Pretty ridiculous, but still kinda cool. For the longest time I didn't even know who he was, I just called him Starscream because he was the only 'Jet' TF I owned. :lol:
