If this is inappropriate, I apologize and mods can pull this down.

Came across this on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/G1-Transformers-Ome ... 27b0b844d6

It's not my auction, I do not know the seller, I do not vouche for him. But it seems like a rare figure.

I did talk to the seller about using the images for TF wiki since they don't have any, and he agreed. He asked if I would be willing to spread his auction to help sell it, and I said I'd do what I could. Besides, like I said, this seems like a rare figure that maybe someone here will be interested in. I thought the price tag was high, but then I considered that I just saw a microman gunrobo figure (pretransformer megatron/browning type) go for $300, and I thought $430 for an Omega Supreme isn't so bad when you consider that.

Anyways, Enjoy,

Mathius

Huh? A Bruticus custom? Must be a wrong link, or a sick ploy to get us to buy that :P

Sorry about that. I must have cut and pasted the wrong link. Link is fixed now.

You might want to tell the guy he's not Mechabot-1. Mechabot-1 is ANOTHER pre-TF OS and has blue on the tank and chrome parts.

I seem to have an amalgamation between both.

Ah, Grandstand Convertors Omegatron (the name makes you wonder...). It really is an interesting find, and shows a great piece of European TF history. I need to look in the Convertors line again, as it has some Diaclone molds that were never released as Transformers like my favourites the Gats Blocker ("Alphatron" or Multiforce 14 in Kronoform and Diakron) and Warudaros ("Siclonoid"), as well as toys from other more obscure lines.

<shrug> If I talk to him I can try to get him to be more accurate, but I don't have any intentions of dealing with him again unless he contacts me. Here's what TF wiki has to say on it:

"Unlike the bulk of early Transformers that drew their molds from Takara's Diaclone and Microchange toys, Omega Supreme's original form was "Super Change Robo Mechabot-1", produced by a company called Toybox (an origin he shares with Sky Lynx). As mentioned above, he was not released in Japan under the Transformers brand during the original 1980s run, and it seems that he was not released in the United Kingdom, either; part of the reason for the latter omission is presumably due to the fact that the Mechabot-1 mold was licensed to a UK company called Grandstand and sold as Omegatron, part of Grandstand's Convertors toyline. "

I guess he would be called Omegatron then, technically, but the same mold as Mechabot-1. <shrug>

And actually he kinda points this out in his auction:

"This is the predecessor of Omega Supreme
name Mechabot 1
This toy is by ToyBox Japan but was released
in the UK as Grandstand Convertors Omegatron"
