Vehicon Scavanger

So I was going through my boxes of loose transformers figures last night looking for Cybertron Starscream and I came across this little jem of a figure.

Image
Thanks to http://www.tfwiki.net for the image!

For a basic (scout) class figure that was released about a decade ago he features awesome articulation and posability and a fun, yet simple transformation.
He's quite well armed as well, with those big chrome claws for hands, a triple missile launcher and a Gatling gun to boot.
He is one nasty Maximal-crunching piece of work!

But what struck me the most was how movie-esque his aesthetics are. From the exposed gears and neumatics on his arms to the "alternative" looking chest and vehicle mode, I can't help but feel that this could very well have been a Cybertronian mode for one of the movie-verse Constructicons.
Any customisers and kitbashers would do well to keep this little guy in mind if they ever plan on doing a movie-verse constructicon set.

Anyway, if you ever see this guy going cheap on eBay or at a con etc then be sure to give up your hard-earned moolah for him, I assure you that you will not be dissappointed!

:D

He certainly does look like a good toy but I'm not getting a movie vibe.

The RiD 3-pack of Scavenger, Mirage and Nightcruz...

Best. Value. Ever.

Mirage was another one I found.
He suffers slightly from his thighs being TINY compared to the rest of his legs.

I like that little guy too. I got a bunch of Scout-class Beast Machine figures on eBay for a good deal recently, and was pleasantly surprised by them. With Scavenger, I like how you can do some interesting transformations that combine parts of the robot and alt modes.

I need to hunt that down, if only for the blue Scavenger. Of course I'll be renaming Mirage GT "Sunstreaker" ;)

That guy is begging for a dragstrip repaint imo.

I think you can easily find it on eBay, and you won't have much trouble winning it.

'Cruz is the "real" prize, but the other two are mighty good for bonuses hehe.

What's wrong with him then? He does have approximately 9 billion modes!
