Hot on the heels of an auction for Generations Drift, we have an auction for Generations Thrust featuring a clear view of all the robot mode detailing and a great comparison to Gentei Thrust. Thanks to TFClub for the image!

Generations Thrust is a repaint of Ganbo Exclusive Gentei Thrust, and features a different mold from BotCon 2007 Thrust.

I normally don't say this much, but Hasbro's figure is looking better then Takara/Tomy's and Fun Pub's Thrust.

Dirge, perhaps... the wings on that figure are markedly different from the wings on the BotCon version. It's that fact that made it possible for Hasbro to release this version of Thrust, so there's no obvious reason why Dirge wouldn't fall under the same category (though don't expect him for a little while - Hasbro doesn't like to put out repaints in nearby waves, if they can avoid it).

Thundercracker, though, almost has to be a direct repaint of the original Classics mold; and I'm not sure if Hasbro is willing to go there (or contractually ABLE, for that matter; I'm not sure what the agreement with FunPub entailed). Almost certainly, any mass-release Thundercracker would have significantly different decoration on it; perhaps powder-blue with more stylized logos, instead of the darker blue G1-homage of the BotCon toy.

If the mold is still intact (unlikely, or give the Ramjet version a new head), they could always go for the "G2" look: G1 Europe Action Master Thundercracker

But today, wouldn't the resulting figure essentially be Generations Slipstream? Not that she wouldn't be just as awesome, maybe even moreso...

I love the look of this Thrust. Way better then Gentei Thrust.

On Thundercracker, they just will not release a Thundercracker using the Classics SS mould. If we get a new T.C. he'll be based on the IDW representation.

Y'know, I'd be down for a TC repaint from Energon Starscream.

Me too, it would go on my Energon shelf to fill out my Seekers there.

Definitely getting Thrust, although the yellow cockpit bugs me now that I've noticed. #-o

I lust for Thrust!

I even have a set of Botcon-style wings I can put on if I can match the paint colors.

Thats what Im talking about !!! Dirge is next !!!

As far as Thundercracker, dont give up hope yet. I believe if Takara didnt honor Fun Pub's plea be exclusive (Henkei Thundercracker) then what makes you think Hasbro (the bigger corprate entity) will listen ??? Money talks. And how much money is Fun Pub really talking with all the problems they have been encountering trying to create an online registration system ???

Agreed. I love that glossy maroon.

I'm sorry if this has been stated already, but what's the expected US release date?

I'm in agreement here - Hasbro seems to have taken a cue from Takara and given us a very nice, accurate, clean looking repaint for our shelves that's actually BETTER than the Japanese. Bravo, 'merka, bravo.

That ugly-ass thing is a wet dream for many fans, myself included. I'm really hoping with the G2/Action Master theme this BotCon we get treated to something like that :D

I'm so glad I never bought gentei Thrust.

Can't wait to see Dirge and Thundercracker along with Skywarp reissues.

So did I.

Dirge and Thundercracker are the only ones I don't have. I know as soon as I break down and Ebay 'em, Hasbro will release their own.
