Is this the first time MP Optimus has had Hot Rodimus on his communicator? Interesting that he'd have ANYONE on it when he's DEAD. Only explaination I can think of is the Quintessons were using it to keep in touch in Dark Awakening, just before he spray-painted himself back into a mock-up of his living colors.
Oh, and if he was alive, he'd be telling his successor that it was his time to die anyway, and Rodimus Prime will end up a better leader than he was in the long run. Those who disagree can just assume I was being sarcastic and leave it at that.
Come on MP Rodimus and Galvatron! Enough repaints already!

Buzz Lightyear is a headmaster? Interesting concept.

I wonder how well Animated is performing in Japan? I imagine if it's successful, they'll do more episodes (like Headmasters after the G1 run) - a thought I'm sure that has crossed many minds here. If they can churn out over a decade of Pokemon...why not TF:A?
Also, that Alternity figure has an alt mode that Jalopnik regularly deems as one of the ugliest of all time. I just can't remember the car's name...

Pokemon has a fanbase that's probably 50x larger in Japan than Transformers. A prolonged TFA is likely.. maybe Season 4 or something like that, but not something that lasts that long.

But people are watching the Pokemon anime? The games are awesome (they have one of the best rpg systems) but the show is the most repetative thing I've ever seen (the first seasons were good, but since then, every episode consists of Team Rocket trying to steal the actual pokemon and/or Pikachu, and fail)

The market runs differently in Japan. The Japanese are happy to cater to a particular age group and make little or no effort to retain fans as they grow older. As such, pokemon can afford to stay predictible as it is targeted at 2-6 year olds many of whom are new to the show and need a good jumping on point.

The Orochi.
I can't speak for the TV show but Animated figures are NOT selling well in Japan. Ratchet in particular is a horrible shelfwarmer.

Buzz Lightyear (IMO) is by far the most awesome thing there. If this stuff pops up in the UK, I'll see if I can afford him and Mickey.

Ratchet was a shelfwarmer in the US also, so that doesn't say too much. He's kind of like the beer bellied old dude of the series. I can see the lack of appeal for kids.
Girl toys and old guys just don't sell well in toy lines targeted at boys.
