THE BEST TRANSFORMERS OF ALL TIME

It's really hard to say who's the absolute best. However, I'm just going to go ahead and say that MP Convoy (preferably the Black Convoy version) is the best. It's huge, lots of metal, great detailing, and the black paintjob is just great. I have over 500 TF's and I can say with very little hesitation that he is the best TF I've ever had.

Masterpiece Optimus Prime. Seriously, if you own one it's the only answer and if you don't, get it before you make your post so you don't have to edit it later.

I'm gonna go with Armada Unicron....

I have way too many favorites to pick just one "Best TF of ALL TIME". I just can't do it. I can't make an objective decision about it. Not possible.

I'm going against the grain and saying THS-02 cos he's a pocket sized MP Prime with tons more features and accessories and he's far more poseable.

Masterpiece Convoy/Optimus Prime.


Just about the most playable Transformer ever created. Great alt mode, great robot mode, simple and elegant transformation sequence...Virtually impossible to put down once you have picked him up! I don't own him, but he's on my list of "Must Owns"!

Actually, I classify him as the greatest toy ever manufactured..not just the greatest Transformer.

Well, since Mp's are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy out of my budget and nothing against Prime and Grimlock and the rest of the Mp's and im sure i'll get Prime or Grimlock one day, but the only MP i own and it he counts is MP Skywarp from Walmart and the other could be G1 Metroplex, i always love that big guy and came the rescue many many times to help out the Autobots...

I'm not kidding. He's a Headmaster Triple-changer. He has an impossibly sexy jet mode, a decent dinosaur mode, a posable robot mode, twin guns and is generally awesome.

If they make a new him for TF3 or Generations or whatever I'll be very happy.

If they make him in name only like Mindwipe I'll cry.

It's Soundwave. The answer is always Soundwave.

If you ask for top 10, I can probably answer it. But only one? That's just too difficult. My mind is already battling.

Masterpiece Prime has die cast-metal, chrome, energon ax, ion blaster, megatron with removable parts, light-up matrix chamber, opening matrix, a moving mouthplate and cartoon accuracy.....

I do have one thing negative to say about MP Prime. In order to make his bot mode so cartoon accurate, the alt mode suffers quite a bit. Actually, I despise the way the Tractor's grill is so terribly inset. The grill and the cab should be nice and flush. To say the least, it isn't my favorite alt mode of all time. G1 Prime's alt mode is far more accurate to that style of truck.

Other than that, I think MP OP is a great figure. Not the best of all time though.

I think Masterpiece Megatron is the best Transformer of all time.

Yea, MP Megs is really good. I mean, aside from his frailty, steep price, cosmic rust, and limited poseablity compared to MP Prime (and any other MP really), he's a pretty good figure.

Well of course G1 had the better truck mode, it was a toy truck! Bot modes were secondary, an afterthought really. One mode always suffers for the accuracy of the other. MP-01 is by far the best balanced between the two forms and no other Transformer before or since has more perfectly captured the character. Hell, I've had people swear it was the Optimus they had when they were 5 years old! It's so perfect, nostalgia goggles can't improve on it!

I can't wait to get mine! He's still been sitting in my PoL for over a month!

Right now...you know, this is a really hard question, but I'm going to say God Ginrai, because he was bought a replacement for my broken Powermaster Prime from childhood. It has a lot of sentimental value to me. Oddly enough, there might actually be other figures I like more than MP Prime.

Bit we were asking for best, not favorite? Well, that's a very subjective question, so I'm going to stick with my choice. What God Ginrai is missing in articulation, he makes up for in detail and play value.

Also MP Grimlock is pretty damn impressive.

Soundwave is my personal favorite toy and character.
