So is Music Label Convoy any good?

I just scored a Music Label Convoy (G1 colors) for 50 dollars on Ebay. I've been looking for a good Prime to lead my G1 collection since my Powermaster Prime has seen better days. So, was 50 dollars a good deal for him? I didn't see any of the G1 colored ones on Ebay, so I don't have anything to compare it to. Also, how's the figure itself? Is it the right color red (not like that pink 25th anniversary Prime). Lastly, how is the speaker quality? I'm not really that concerned about the speaker quality, it's more of a bonus, but I'm just curious.

He's pretty awesome. The red is a deep deep red... nothing like pinky Prime. The head sculpt will make it all worthwhile for you; the head G1 Prime should've had. It is an amazing sculpt. He is hands-down my G1 Prime.

Eh, the speakers are what you'd expect; nothing to write home about.

$50 is a pretty good deal for it. I forget how much I paid, but in the ballpark of $80-100?

If you got the "Optimus" colors then it was a bargain! It's like the KISSPLayers Convoy, with a layer of glossy paint. Head has 360 rotation + sculpted like MP Convoy. Mold of the body is basically like that of Encore. Only problem you might find is that he comes sans any labels(reprolabels can deal with that)

Ah, good info. I was really worried about the color red that he was. Also, it kind of sucks that he doesn't come with the stickers...but whatever, as Fenrir said, that's what reprolabels are for.

Thanks again for the info! Looks like my G1 Autobot troops have a new leader!

Just a word of warning if you intend to use the speakers for your iPod. As a product of Japan, it runs on a slightly different voltage than the US, and especially Europe:

US: 120 V, 50 Hz
Japan: 100 V, 50 and 60 Hz depending on region
Europe: 230 V, 50 Hz
