Hey, I was thinking it would be cool if all Seibertronians who are planning to attend BotCon to sign in here.

Maybe we could arrange a time and place to meet up and have a drink or something, put some faces to some usernames.

We host a regular party on Friday night at the closest bar we can find. No one who is going and who is 18 or older should miss it.

I'm the dude not in that photo but probably should be. I'll be there basically from Monday through Sunday evening. I live a little over an hour away.

I'll be at Disney from June 20-June 28.

We're staying at Caribbean Beach (not the Swan or Dolphin).

My wife and my best friend will be there, and they'll be hitting the roller coasters while I'm at the con.

Most Excited About: I'm always excited to see my friends and fellow collectors. It's our once a year meet and I wish we could do this more. Oh, and the custom class. This is the first year I was able to take the class. Gonna be my first custom fig evah!!

I'm super psyched to be going finally now that all of the odds and ends are done!

How worthwhile is it if you couldn't give two craps about the figure set? It may be too late already for all I know, but the wife is talking about wanting to take time off work around that time and is cool with going if I so choose.

If you're not interested in the fig sets, don't worry! You get to have panels with celebs, I suspect we'll see something about Transformers Prime there, See all the new Stuff Hasbro is coming out with and best of all, hang with the Seibertronians!

You can always sell the figs afterward to recoup some of the travelling costs

A fine example of this..I have been bidding on a loose set of the Botcon 2008 Shattered glass set on ebay...The person had al of the box set loose and up for sale..I started off with a usual bid of $75 for each peice..In the time it took me to go to whataburger and back..The SG Optimus Prime had shot up to $327 bucks! I contacted the seller to pretty much congratualte them on a succesful auction and they told me that they were using the money to go to Botcon 2010... I H8 EBAY!

It's worthwhile for the friends you go there to see. I mean, we all speak geek. Sci-fi, comic books/comic movies, video games, cartoon&anime, toys, and transformers. It's all kinds of WIN. I remember staying up uber late one nite just chattin up with Savage about everything and anything. It's like that with pretty much everyone there. And yeup, if ya don't like the toys, you can almost always recoup your cost. From what I understand, it's best to do it that first 2 weeks. I've seen some crazy prices in that short time. Heck, you might actually end up liking the whole set once you get it in hand.

I will be helping out Prime Target, the huge row of tables with all G1 items at TFcon.

This coming TFcon will be my first time dealing from my own tables. Just registered a two table spot for the show.

Most Excited About: There's little about BotCon taht isn't exciting. For you first timers, prepare to have a giant nerdgasm the day they have the "private sales room experience" It's like stepping into a giant toybox. For me the biggest highlight is just spending time with my friends (new and old) but honestly the whole weekend rocks.
