It is now almost June and we have heard nothing about any new encore coming out in the next few months. Heck those rumored encores that were supposed to come out from Hong Kong never materialized. Can we all agree now that the line is dead or does someone have any super secret info to share? I loved this line, but all good things end. God, I need to be put on medication. ENCORRRRRRRRRRRRRWEEEEEEEEE

Is there any particular reason that most of your topic posts here are in regards to Encore Transformers?

Is there any particular reason you spam this topic across all of the major Transformers boards?

I am not spamming. Different people psot at different boards. I want to be proven wrong with my conclusion, but it seems that I am correct. I am especially interested in the supposed scoop about the hong kond reissues that never came out.

If we agree that Encore is over, will you stop posting these threads?

(Until of course, another reissue line is announced or Encore contines...you know, as the reissues have been doing for the past TEN YEARS.)

We've heard no solid news of future Encores, but that definitely doesn't mean that they won't happen. While Hoist and Skids have turned out to be tremendous shelfwarmers all the other figures in the line sold at worst decently, and at best incredibly quickly (especially the tapes and the Combaticons).

With the dregs of ROTF, the bulk of Animated and the majority of Device Label on the shelves, it's possible Takara want some breathing room before they release any more. Similarly they may be updating their market research to avoid shelves full of Skids. There are also rumours of Predaking and the likes.

I have to agree with Counterpunch: what is your obsession with the line being finished or not? Are you jealous that Asia's getting these products? Trying to win a bet? What?

If asia was getting these products, then we could import them here. I love encores and reissue transformes and become depressed when they do not come out.

Then you may have a problem. Don't worry though, I'm pretty sure TakaraTomy will restart a reissue line, again. I just wish they'd stop with Convoy and Megatron...

I'm sure most people would agree. However, there really is no need to repeatedly post topics along the lines of this one. Unless Takara officially announces it, or unless reissues start getting produced under a new title we can't absolutely say for sure if Encore is or isn't finished. If you do want more reissues then wait patiently and see what comes.

I appreciate you want confirmation of whether the line will continue or not, but unfortunately no-one can give you that. Posting this topic over and over is, however, demoralising, irritating and possibly misleading.

Why are so many people so very obsessed with the Encores?
Every forum I visit there is at least one post each day of someone wanting even more and being afraid that the line is over.

So Skids was a shelf warmer? Well he never had enough screen time in the show anyway and the "name" of one of the twins was more of an after thought. The exclusive "twins" of Screech and Skids looked interesting in a sense that this version had the mini scout/scooters. But not enough to warrant a re-purchase of both. Heck the Ramble/Sideswipe mold would have been a better choice (but then in ROTF, he like have quite minimum exposure)

@ micah.......be patient, I might be partly to blame by giving out a date of June (last year Takara did follow a sort of time frame) so speculation as to who # 20 will be is anybody's guess.

If by June no word so smart money is on the Christmas season then (heck even Broadcast device label got delayed)

Speculation and simply being pragmatic:

Unless Takara will pull out a surprise like Metroflex, Omega Supreme and Skylynx (supposedly lost molds) expect more of the same from the TFC and commemorative lines of yesteryears.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that after Takara's celebration of 2010 they'll go back to other things. Possibly including Encores.

if the encore line is really done (not quite sure if thats true) theres always the next reissue line to hope for

It's long overdue...

We need an Encore of Fortress Maximus. As long as he has Cog, Spike, and all of the US accessories, I'm good. If they decide to add more to him (I think the Japanese version had a sword), even better.

There are plenty of folks who'd be willing to buy him. If it could be kept under $150.00, I think he'd sell pretty well.

That is if a Fort Max can be imported to the good old USA. Hope that the drop test won't get in the way..........shipping costs too would be murder.

If TT did it, it wouldn't be subject to same regulations as a regular old Hasbro toy. It just needs to be sold as an "adult collectible", by sites like BBTS. Look at the Megatron reissue and Masterpiece.

I think we can all agree that these topics are increasingly irritating and unnecessary.

Yeah you're right Razorclaw, the Megatron orange capping thingie. Still the price would be murder for the added shipping costs.
