Takara Tomy has updated its website with the new package illustration of Transformers Unicron 2010 Edition.
This toy is open for pre-order at Toy Hobby Market from early June till 4th July 2010. It is expected to be released at the end of September 2010.

Looks like a very nice display box, love the styling of the art. I'm not a MIB/MISB type of guy, but if I get one with a nice box I do hang onto them and when they get pulled out of rotation on the display shelf I rebox them and shove them on another shelf. This guy probably will fit into that SMALL group.

Is that a bit of Primus packaging in blue there?

That's gorgeous. I can't wait to see the other half.

It does look like it doesnt it. No doubt there will be a patch of yellow on the Primus box to match.

Ooh, so so excited for my first Unicron. It's not like I waited for this, but just the look of it made it a must buy for me.

I'm easy in that, I'll just replaces the ones I have on my desk with the 2010 versions, and move Unicron to the Armada shelf/cabinet, and Primus to Cybertron. What would I do with Energon Unicron though...

Wish I had the Death Star version I'll probably end up chucking the Energon version in Universe 1.0 though.

If they made Primus in silvers and greys it'd be awesome ... and awesomely expencive.

I think I'll set my sights on exclucives whos molds or characters I don't already have. But that box only makes me more curious about what they'll release next!

Whoa, nice looking package indeed. I'm interested in this rumored Primus reissue too, though I doubt I will be able to afford it either.

Black Unicron is supposed to be the undead version after his defeat in Armada, give or take, so you need as Heralds:

Universe Ramjet, Universe Nemesis Prime, BotCon Shokoract, and of course, Universe Razorclaw

They're probably the four most worthwhile Heralds, and most relevant to Unicron being (un)dead.

Shokoract is pretty reasonable. He's around $110-$120 MISB and even cheaper loose. Hunt around for misspellings.

Y'know, as a herald of Unicron, Universe Ramjet is always tempting. But, thematically, I gotta shake my head. Razorclaw and Nemesis are both black repaints and both corrupted Maximals. Ramjet is a white repaint who transforms into a jet. He just doesn't fit in to me.

I can't wait to get this guy! I've sadly never owned a Unicron. How tall is he? Just wondering if he'll fit the small shelf space as the crowning center of my 86 movie display.

He's pretty tall. About two heads taller than RotF Leader Prime. He's also pretty wide with the wings.

all the more reason i need to get this. . .

its gonna cost an arm, a leg and a boat considering where i live but its gonna be worth it!

He's approximately 16 inches tall.
