Hmmm, price is a bit disappointing. I was hoping for around $60 (at most). I will still probably buy her, but I think they'll find less takers at $70.

On the positive side, she is about the same height as Classics Rodimus.

Price is slightly higher than what I was hoping for, but I'll take 'em!

Has anyone heard if TFsource is gonna put up a pre-order for these yet?

How much!?!

I get the feeling that somebody is laughing and rubbing their hands together.

Hate to think that these will cost by the time they get to the UK. Shame as I was really looking forward to a decent G1 Arcee.

I really do think these 3rd party companys are taking advantage of the Transformer fans. Nothing wrong with making a bit of money but deliberatly pricing them so high....or are these a limited production run? If they are then ok I can understand the price.

Very tempting but I'll have to hold off on these for now. Especially since I was just charged for Henkei Convoy at BBTS. That reminds me, off topic but to those that are interested, Henkei Convoy is now in stock as of right now at BBTS.

Hopefully the rumors of Hasbro releasing Arcee and Kup as a part of the Generations line in the future is true. :D

Third party items are always much more limited runs than if it were Hasbro or Takara. It costs them a lot more per unit to make the things. It could also be the retailer as well, they need their cut as well, as with any product.

The price could definitely better, but compared to Defender, this is acceptable. This month seems really soon, so I'm not sure how much truth the release date holds, but as long as FP doesn't pull a miracle and release the Bruticus set at the same time, I'll be okay. If Valkyrie is indeed released soon I think I'm going to ship my loot, I don't need to pay a boatload of duties when the Bruticus sets get released.

She's going with my classics, I think, though the box will be displayed with the G1s. If Hasbro does do a Classics Arcee, Valkryie goes with the G1s. :)

Hmmmm? :? I think I'm just gonna go with the medic for now. Not interested in Arcee. I want to wait till after Botcon before deciding if she needs to be bought or not.

Can't say that the price surprises me. It's fair, but still steep.

With the Bruticus set and Label Blaster preordered this'll just have to wait.

I don't care about the price. As soon as I began reading the article, I ran to BBTS and placed an order. :x

More expensive than I can afford at the moment, but I'll probably pick up one or both eventually. They look absolutely fantastic.

$70.00's cheaper than what was paid for Warbot Defender.

Plus we have no idea what Hasbro's design for her will be.

I'm going for it. I preordered it about 30 minutes ago.

That's true considering that its still only a rumor/hint? If I were to guess, it'd probably be based off of her War for Cybertron design in which the robot mode and alt-mode are both really on point. I'm not sure if this pic is okay to use, but I stumbled upon this a while ago. Hope I don't get in trouble. :-$

She's on the lower right. Concept is just a thought though.

The WFC Arcee looks good, I preordered the Valkyrie and will also get whatever Hasbro releases.

This is just too expensive, even for my blood. Warbot defender seems to give you a lot more bang for the buck (mine is in my BBTS pile of loot).

I don't collect animated, but I got animated Arcee because she does fit with the classics universe line. This figure does not appear to be $60 better than animated Arcee.

Hard to compare the two IMHO. It's the proverbial "apples to oranges" comparison. Animated Arcee is more of a niche figure thanks to the aesthetics of the show. She doesn't fill the niche for most G1 and classic fans. I'd guess you fall in the minority of classics fans that bought Animated Arcee.

There's also the issue of 3rd party company versus Hasbro/TakaraTomy. I know that point has been repeated numerous times, but it still holds true. In a perfect world, this Valkyrie figure would cost no more than $20. But that's not the way this 3rd party stuff works.

Piece for piece, is this Arcee worth $60 more than the Animated one? Probably not. Yet the value hardly hinges on the amount of plastic or the gimmick here. For G1 Movie fans, this piece is darn near perfect. Those poor fans (myself included) have waited 24 years for this. Unless the quality is utter crap, this Valkyrie/Arcee should be worth every penny for that audience.

This is a really nice figure. I want to pick this up regardless of if Hasbro releases their own Arcee. I am just gonna wait on a review from one of our own members first though since the figure is 70 dollars. I have some concers with the joints and on how, in robot mode, the front of the car locks into the hip to create her chest. Good looking Arcee though.
