I'm not really in the market for one of these, just kind of stumbled upon them while surfing Ebay. Surely nobody would actually pay this much, would they?

I've seen more expencive TFs.

But, yeah ... some of these guys are rediculous in price.

So glad I got mine when they first hit ebay.

Of course there are more expensive figures, but that much for this guy? I could pick up some of the rarest G1 figures for less than price. I know it's a numbers game, but this seems ridiculous!

Botcon SG Rodimus is going for almost as much. And yeah. That is a lot.

I own both those figures and that sucks. These toys should NOT be valued that high.

Maybe I should swap those two for the whole Victory line.

Those prices don't seem at all right to me. The last one I was actively watching sold for $225 or so.

SG Prime sold for $500 the other day. Competition for that toy set seems to have gone up

I guess if he was your favorite and you had Scrooge McDuck's money bin you'd pay that.
This figure Is generally super-costly as it was a Chara Hobby 2008 exclusive but those seem extreme! Especally sense it's not even a new mold.

Man, that's stunning. I bought Wildrider via eBay when he was released, and I was just talking about this with my girlfriend last night, for some reason. I can't remember how much I paid for him, but it was nowhere near this gigantic price. I seem to remember it being around $130 or so, but man.
As for SG Rodimus, I got him via eBay as well for maybe $130 with SG Megatron, but the inflation in prices just floors me. I love both figures and in general I don't get appaled with the increases of secondary market prices the way some people do, and probably rightfully they do, but that Wildrider is just an incredible increase. I love the figure a lot, and he's one of the more attractive Classics molds-into-exclusives, but not $800 worth.

If I were to put that much money on any TF, it might as well be Grand Maximus. In fact I was going to put a "grand" on Maximus earlier this year..I'll get another chance next year.

I agree with everyone's posts above. Is he awesome? Yes. $800 worth? Those eBay prices are rubbish. I got him for 25% of that price a month ago.

Whoops! I didn't even click the links. I thought Wildrider was selling for HALF that. Jeez. Rodimus is selling for about $400 these days. Like for real, in auctions and stuff.

I bought the last MISB one available in all of the major TF shops here in Tokyo for $xxx but nothing like as much as that Ebay price, not even half.
I haven't seen him since in any shops although he is available on Yahoo! Auctions for $200+
I didn't have a chance to get Shattered Glass Rodimus and have collected almost all of the Classics exclusives except for that pointless clear optimus so it was a good addition to my collection but probably not $xxx good. Paid the same price as I just had to to get Punch/Counterpunch.

Hmm, if they had actually sold it might be something.

But at least it does sound like a good piece to hold onto for it's value is only going up!

What's an SG Botcon set run for these days, I mean all figs, and add-ons?

SG is the one Botcon boxset I decided to pass on since I wasn't that interested in the SG concept at the time, good call huh? Anyway, I've been doing some shopping around and the best deal I've found is the boxset and all add-ons for $1200.00. I've seen the boxset by itself go for $1k.
