I don't mean to be a pessimist, but really? That's the best they can do for Soundwave? REALLY?

FAIL!

I'm definitely hoping that more and better images change my mind...

I knew they transformed megatron wrong in the other pics!!! He looks much better in these. Soundwave looks really good, I'm curious if his chest will open up like his G1 self..along with will he be a tripplechanger just like he is on the game. o.o EEEE! Can't wait till august to get them. x3 They all look so awesome!

Both figures look amazing to me. It's nice to see that unlike the previous pics shown, Megatron actually does have two hands. They both will be mine!

I've never really been into Soundwave, but his mold does have some potential. I'd be interested to see what they do with it. But for now, it's a pass for me

Soundwave is an average figure for me. He has all the original weapons, but needs more paint. I hope he can turn into the cassette player as we've seen before. Megatron is a must have. I do hope those tank treads fold away to become the hover tank. My hopes we're lost at the sight of the first images, but I have to admit, good job Hasbro, for finally doing something right. :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE:

I am unsure how I feel about the WFC line. I am going to need to see a lot of these figures close up to see what my opinion really is. So far, there are few that I like. Optimus is the lone exception to this point, and only because his Bot mode is so fantastic.

Soundwave looks... disproportionate. I hope he's mistransformed, but I'll be buying him regardless.

Megatron looks MUCH better than in the initial pics. But my problem is they STILL used that crappy light grey plastic! WHY HASBRO, WHY?! They got it right on the rest of these figures so far, why can't they get it right on the one figure where it matters most? He's almost white. AUGH. :BANG_HEAD:
Well, I suppose I'll get him anyway, and then buy the eventual Takara repaint which will be far superior.

I guess I spoke too soon saying Generations was full of win, but it's still very good so far.

What makes you say that? I don't really understand. Also, FAIL is so overused.

I think it's time hasbro made soundwave a triple changer, if they keep insisting on giving him a vehicle mode. If he had a cassette player/boom box type mode as well as those 2, I'd be totally happy with him. I think he looks decent though.

Well, it could be just how long his friggin thighs are in comparison to the rest of his leg, and that protruding claw gut of his.

Overall he just looks like scrap from the waist down

Aside from Soundwaves forearm looking much bigger then his bicep, :-?
Its good to see a soundwave that actually resembles soundwave (Bot mode anyhow) since the ROTF line has been out. In some of the G1 episodes, some angle shots depicted soundwave with long lanky thighs. Will be adding him to my collection.
Does anyone know if Hasbro will be making a WFC Generations shockwave figure? :CON:

I'm impressed with all of the WFC figures so far.

Optimus: I like the bulky robot mode, I like the spring loaded weapon, I like the level of poseability. I do not like the hot pink highlights (though I understand why they're there and admit that they replicate the animation model almost perfectly.), and I'm still not the biggest fan of the vehicle mode.

Bumblebee: I like the robot mode, for the most part. I like the vehicle mode for sure. I definitely like that they found a way to work in his G1 head, that's just cool. I don't like that he has only one foot, and that asymmetrical look just bugs me...wish I had paid more attention before.

Megatron: I like the robot mode (definitely.) I like the vehicle mode. I like the transformation (from what I can gather of it), the only thing I see here is that I think he might look a bit better in vehicle mode with wings that extend, but I can deal.

Soundwave: I'm not sure what to think of the robot mode just yet, but it's not a lose in my book. I LOVE the vehicle mode, and how it compacts down and gets boxy. I love TFs that compact tighter and tighter as they form their alt mode. Kinda like Animated Blitzwing, but his is rather simplistic. I like figures that just fold and fold and fold, etc.

Even with some negatives, so far, I'm fully impressed by all of the WFC figures and find myself compelled to pick them up. Prime and Megatron especially.

If Arcee happens to be her WFC version, I'm definitely glad I bought the Animated and ImpossibleToys versions. I really am.

I'm hoping some of the other WFC characters, if not all of them, see the light of day as a figure at some point. I just wouldn't want Generations to be solely an outlet for these guys.

As much as I love the movieverse, I have to admit that it's caused quite a derailment in many ways. From polarizing the fandom to changing lineups, it's caused a big mess.

I know we should be used to filler lines by now, but past a certain point, they do start to wear thin on you.

I was never big into Classics because it was too G1 for my liking, but I do understand why folks clamored for it.

I was madly in love with Animated, just absolutely addicted to it.

I was, for the most part, pleased by Universe 2.0, and I'm glad that it's returning in Generations.

But, Animated was canceled, Classics/Universe/Generations has been on and will again go on, hiatus.

And now we have PowerCore Combiners (not my thing, but folks are into them), and they too, like the aformentioned product will fall by the wayside when TF3 hits store shelves and theaters next Summer.

I love the movies, I do, but this on again, off again thing is difficult to deal with and I do fully understand people's frustrations with the whole setup.

And with figures as nice as the WFC guys...it makes even harder to think about another hiatus to come. Seriously, maybe TF3 should be the last film, so we can get some stability in our collecting, because this is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

Soundwave superior. Paintjob of Soundwave inferior.

Megatron is a must buy. He looks like Classics Megs on steroids.

Prime and Megs = must buy. Bumblebee = pass. Soundwave I'm not sure about. I'll see how the rest of the line turns out.

These are all awesome. (Despite Soundwave's thighs being too long.)

I really want Hasbro to repaint this OP into Nemesis Prime. That's all I ask. It seems pretty do-able, right? Asking Hasbro to make a repaint...

I would even consider buying a Cliffjumper, Soundblaster, and Galvatron version of the other figs. Just, please make a Nemesis Prime out of this Optimus mold.

Both of these look freking awesome! Especially Soundwave! Except for his feet. Oh well. This is the closest thing to a G1 soundwave Im probobly ever gonna get anywhere near. Unless they make a Universe Soundwave.

The original picture of the one-footed Bumblebee was mis-transformed. Here you go

That is one thing I am afraid of.. The fact that we are getting a WFC Soundwave means we probably wont be getting a Classics/Universe/Generations G1 Soundwave..

I'll forgive Soundwaves sub-par aesthetics if he is a true triple-changer. I also like the fact that Megatron's gun is on the side of his forearm rather than the bottom like the Classics version. Bring on Ironhide, Ratchet, and the Seekers.

That Soundwave is ugly as sin. He looks like a crap Cybertron Soundwave combined with a BubbleCar-cum-Van alt-mode.

I know he had to have a "useful" alt-mode for the computer game - but a car. Really?. They could've had him transform into a tank or gunplatform or something with some fluff explaining "Soundwave" as a name (a gun could, for example use sound vibrations(waves) as a weapon).

Thank God I'm broke right now, because the list of releases this year is unimpressive.

That fear keeps running through my head. One reason I hope they don't make a WFT Shockwave. I would much rather have a Classics version that turns into a space gun than another jet

If Soundwave can transform (even if it's a fan-mode) into a tape deck like in that Shockwave commercial, I'm SO getting him.
