Move aside Hasbro, there's a new Transformers Animated distributor in town. With Transformers Animated in full swing in the Land of the Rising Sun, it was simply time until Takara would be releasing superior Transformers toys. Takara's version of Animated Blackout is released before Hasbro's, and their version of Arcee quickly follows the release of Hasbro's counterpart, who has been nothing more than scarce in North America.
For your viewing pleasure, both Takara Animated Blackout and Takara Animated Arcee have made their way into the world renowned toy galleries of Seibertron.com. Blackout's first appearance was in the first few episodes of Season 3, wrecking havoc on Rodimus Minor's team of Autobots. His design was based off a Decepticon of the same name, the 2007 Movie Villian and fellow Military Helicopter, Blackout. This version of Blackout differs from Hasbro's, as it has a purple colored Decepticon logo and slightly lighter color scheme. Arcee was Transformers Animated main Autobot fembot, making appearances in several episodes. This version of Arcee differs from Hasbro's, featuring a red colored Autobot logo, and a different finish. Feel free to check each figure's galleries in the links below!

In addition to the Transformers Animated madness, the toy galleries of Voyager Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Starscream, and Deluxe Prowl now feature new box, robot and alternate mode comparison images!

Takara Arcee reminds me of Queen Amidala.

I prefer the black on Hasbro Arcee.

Finally, Blackout can stand with someone and not look totally out of scale!

Animated Blackout is so sweet. Glad I picked him up.

! You used the swords with both Arcees?
Hmm. Seeing Blackout side by side with his movie counterpart actually makes me unsure about whether I want him. The main color is significantly different. Although, I guess by that logic I shouldn't be interested in Arcee either. Which is obviously not the case.

Animated Blackout has more in common with ROTF Grindor. I actually bought Grindor for the sole reason on displaying him with Animated Blackout.

Like I said before, I thought I was completely over Animated. Sorely tempted to get Blackout...
I'm not interested in Arcee though. Still a bit prickly about that whole thumbs issue.

I was just thinking of that... it's such a pain to track down a Grindor just for that though. I wonder if someone would trade for the original Blackout...

So, does Japanese Arcee has the same thumb issues as her american counterpart?

Yes she does. Don't even
think Takara's figures are
always improved upon.

*Sigh* Looks like at this rate, I'll have to go to Takara for Arcee.

Blackout looks pretty cool, too. Actually a
lot better than his movie counterpart, IMHO.

Concurred. My Takara Arcee suffered from little white marks after the very softest of sword-fondlings.

I poked a long, impressive sword into her pink aperture. What's so weird about that?

What's up with Arcee's jaw? That red dot should be upper on the lips.

Gonna cry myself to sleep tonight because I don't live in Japan. Man I want this guy so bad!

The weird part is that the sword was blue!

Heh heh, sword.

Blackout is hot stuff. His transformation is crazy fun...
He's like, "I'm a helicopter..." and then BAM! Wilford Brimley! In yo FACE!!
(For real, the helicopter splits open and shoves his ugly face right at you. It's great. DIABETES!)

Got both of these yesterday. Absolutely love Blackout, but Arcee is staying MOSC since I already have the Hasbro one on display. Makes me miss TFA

Hahaha, that is totally awesome.
