BBTS Red Alternity Convoy restock price increase

When I heard news of the Red Alternity Convoy restock I preordered it at BBTS. It was listed at first for $49.99, then while browsing earlier I noticed that the price increased to $59.99. So if you have been waiting on ordering this then you will have to pay more now. I guess BBTS is just trying to get a little something extra out of the preorders they have left.

That's lame. TFsource still has it available for $49.95, at the moment anyhow.

It's not lame, it's business.

The sad fact is if the restocking shipments cost BBTS (or any retailer for that matter) more to bring in, then they might need to raise the price they offer it at.

It's easy to bitch if you missed out the first time and need to pay more, but they have every right to protect their bottom line. If you don't like the price or have the option to buy it for less elsewhere that is your right as a consumer.

It is quite possible that their costs have gone up due to increased shipping costs or if in order to increase stock they themselves are buying from another overstocked Asian retailer, in which case it is entirely possible that they even make less profit on each unit even with the increased price tag.

Pre-ordered through TFsource at the current price of $49.95 along with Alternity Thundercracker due in October.

If their cost is that much more, so be it. If they're doing it just to pocket an extra $10 a pop simply because they can...it's pretty lame. The other places still have it for $10 less, as BBTS did for a while, so it appears to be the latter. I give BBTS lots of love. Forgive me if I find something not so great about them once in a while.

I could see if they were getting it from a third party or something, but no, this is a re-release form Takara this time. When BBTS had gotten 5 City Commander Armors, they were sold for $134. These were some leftover stock probaly an Asian retailer. However, I jumped on it. I could understand the price increase because at the time these were going on ebay for insane lots of money. I overpaid by almost $50, but no one knew FP was going to re-release the CC armor.

This is to make an extra $10 on a high demand toy. Makes sense because it is business. It will be a sought after item...I wanted one and the cheapest I could find was $90 on ebay. However, I ordered from TFsource a week ago when the news broke, then I saw BBTS had it too.

What I see hear is basically people like BBTS service a little more (so do I), so people will get upset by it. Well if the price is too high, order form another retailer. The best way to let a company know how you feel is to either buy from them, or somewhere else.

It's your money, you choose where to spend it.

An extra $10 isn't too bad for this guy considering he's pretty awesome and IMO the best of the Alternity line. Now if it was like $30 THEN I would start cracking skulls. If it's BBTS just making extra money, by all means just go get somewhere else. I mean, if there are people buying if for $60 you really can't put the blame on BBTS. Let's just hope the other places don't follow suit. :-$

Well, I don't agree with this either, but it's nowhere near as bad as the TFSource Superion incident.

Just buy it cheaper somewhere else.
