ROTF Leader Class Prime Question

I recently bought my first movie-verse figure, Deluxe NEST Bumblebee.
I was hesitant to buy a movie figure in the past because they looked like they would fall apart when playing with them. They looked like, if you shook them, their arms would fall out of tabs and the whole thing would collapse (like Energon Superions crotch).
However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Bumblebee is an extremely solid, fun and poseable figure!
My question is, with the apparent complexity of Leader Class Primes transformation, does he hold together well?
Or do his arms/legs/chest/etc have a tendency to pop out of tabs and plugs when he's played with?

I have had no trouble with mine and I have transformed him numerous times. However, I will say this; The energon swords constantly get in the way. I would say that is more of an annoying trait of the toy rather than something that gets worn out over time. Honestly, I have had no problems with mine. I think it is a great figure.

Every piece of the toy clicks in place just fine in robot mode, though the vehicle mode relies solely on perfect placement and tabs. Needless to to say, transforming and fitting his pieces is quite a hassle.

I do agree with you. It is a fiddly piece for sure. The bot to alt transformation can be a bit of a hassle. As far as quality, it is a good figure.

Yes it can be fiddly, but once everything is in place both bot and truck modes are pretty durn solid.

Honestly I'm almost tempted to leave him in his alt mode. The instructions are a little vague in some places. The only REAL problem I had with transforming him into his alt mode was with his arms. After you connect them together make sure you push them all the way back to his chest till there's a click. I thought mine were as far back as possible and I couldn't get his windshield down for the life of me...then I got on youtube and discovered that info. Everything else was just perfect placement.
I was also kinda annoyed (amused at first) with him saying "I am Optimus Prime" every 12 seconds while transforming. It got to the point I was yelling at him "I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!! I THINK WE COVERED THAT THE LAST 7 TIMES YOU SAID IT!!!" LOL Not a good feature when you are frustrated with transforming him.
Other than that...he's really pretty awesome.

Leader class Prime is a great figure. Solid and sturdy. Energon swords could be annoying but that depends on everybody. Be patient with his transformation. No matter how, it will still take some time.

I took out the batteries. IMMEDIATELY.

I'm actually tempted by the black leader Prime on Amazon Japan right now that's well discounted. It's basically the cost of retail Prime and a DVD or Blu-Ray (which it comes with) + shipping. And it apparently comes with the Stealth Bumblebee legend fig as well. It's a good price, really, but it goes back to whether I want to blow a wad of cash on a fairly unnecessary repaint, even if it is a nice mold.

Initially it was hard to transform for me because I couldn't figure it out from the stupid instructions. Video review on youtube took care of that. I was afraid the pulling and pushing the chest pieces into the slots would break the tabs but they're solid. Also aligning them in truck mode with the arms was a hassle too. After transforming him 2-3 times it's a piece of cake.
It is by far an awesome figure. Highly recommended

Don't forget to combine him with leader jetfire for a fangasm!

How about no?

You lose leg articulation (unless you use a different configuration), the engine turbine flop about, did I mention the backpack is hard to properly attach to begin?

These are all true.
For me the pleasure outweighs the pain in this case. That or I'm a masochist

I've got mine combined because it displays really well and it also saves on valuable shelf space.
