Seacons And Classics Rodimus Being Re-Released Soon? Maybe!

According to this thread:

1.) The Seacons will be a SDCC/HTS exclusive. Price hasn't been determined yet.

2.) Rodimus, Cyclonus, and Galvatron are supposed to be repacked (and possibly repainted) as a Target exclusive 3 Pack.

3.) Both of these are supposed to start surfacing in July. (In Hong Kong at least.)

Now, a three pack has been mentioned before, and we've seen NOT FOR SALE test shots of the Seacons just recently, so perhaps this is true.

We won't know for sure until Botcon and SDCC, but it looks like it has the potential to be 100% true.

If Galvatron ends up in G1 toy colors he's mine, I need a Galvatron II :P I'll need to see Rodimus and Cyclonus first though.

The Seacons I already have, fixed and complete, so I don't need them.

If this is true, the Seacons is 110% bought at HTS and the 3 pack will be bought as well...

Come on Takara/Hasbro let hear something about Predacons and Sixshot and the next big thing Takara should do is Encore Devastator!!!

It be great if the Seacons get a re-issued through Hasbro. Though I wonder what changes they'll make to conform to the toy laws now. Make Nautilator's legs soft rubber? Make Snaptrap's guns shorter?

TFCC managed to get it outwithout making any changes. So hopefully none will be needed.

That was an adult collectible and it was marketed and sold through adult channels. No remolding required.

If this would happen to go mass retail (which doesn't seem to be the case), then they'd definitely need to make some changes.

I don't know of too many parents who'd buy this from HTS for their kids. Something about it just doesn't strike me as what parents or kids would buy, today.

That being said, I doubt we'll see any mold changes. I'm assuming they should be as is, just slight differences in color.

I think.

I'd LOVE to see a "Nemesis" Rodimus repaint (without the head mold so the Botcon exclusive argument doesn't start again) as a Hasbro equivilent to Henkei/Gentei Wildrider.

I'll buy the Cyclonus mold in whatever color it comes out in.

The boys get Galvatron, that mold SUCKS.

SG Rodimus' facial hair was painted on, no remolds were done on him. Even then, the toolings exclusive to BotCon are destroyed after use. ;)

Noooooo! We want Rodimus in his normal colors (even if they're the anime/toy/whatever color) because of the Protector armor upgrade that's coming. This will make Rodimus affordable for everyone. No one should have to pay upwards of $100.00 for a four year old figure. No one.

I love the Cyclonus mold, but I've no use for two of him.

And Galvatron...eh, might use him for a kitbash on my Energon Galvatron, who will soon be going into my Neo-G1 display.

Cool, I'm interested in the 3-pack if the figures are repainted. If not... maybe, since another Rodimus would be cool to display alongside Protector.

I'll pass on the Seacons, they're just not for me.

I'd gladly welcome an opportunity to get Classics Rodimus out of the store rather than pay ebay prices, even if it comes with Cyclonus, who I already have, and Galvatron, who I had no interest in.

As long as the repaints aren't too extensive, I'd pick up Rodimus again for Cyclonus and Galvatron.

Yeah these two have been going around for awhile, wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

I wouldn't be surprised if the repaints are nothing more than Henkei repacks, or only slight changes but still Henkei nonetheless.

And I'm okay with that. I'm not a big fan of Cyclonus's anime coloring, I actually prefer the muted colors of Hasbro's, over Takara's, but I'll take it if it means an affordable Rodimus.

I mean, I just watched an auction for Rodimus end at $30.00+ because the hinge was broken and people weren't willing to pay more.

That's absolutely friggin' ridiculous.

The Fan Club with their Club & BotCon exclusives have to adhere to the same strict rules and regulations for safety standards that all Hasbro toys have to abide by.

The last thing Hasbro would want is some toy that has their name on it (whether it's sold through the club or at BotCon or not) not meeting safety standards and getting into a child's hands.

So with that said, the OTCC Seacons had to meet American safety standards, so expect any new releases to be the same as those (in regards to meeting safety standards) unless rules become more strict.

Hasbro probably should start taking advantage of the third party projects.

The fans that also bought the Henkei? ;)

I hope they do Rodimus in G1 Transformers:The Movie colours - y'know, all slightly pinkish with the orangey red chest.

If it happens, and they're different colourschemes, I'll get 'em hard.

I'll need to see them first though.

I will have to pick up the 3-pack. I never got Rodimus, and I wouldn't mind picking up a Galvatron. I don't know why I didn't grab Galvy the first time around, but at least there will be a 2nd chance.

FP Protector on the way, and Hasbro re-release Hot Rod...

Fair play to them for trying to make a buck

I think I'll pick up that 3pack, especially if it's in cartoon accurate colours which would make Cyclonus even better.
