Peaugh has just loaded up his review of Huffer with Caliburst from the Power Core Combiners line. You can see the video here.

Huffer actually looked kinda neat on his own minus the baby blue pegs, but his GoBot-like tranformation is a deal breaker. That's okay as I plan to skip this line anyhow.

I wasn't bummed at all by the relative simplicity of the transform. He's got a great vehicle mode, a nicely proportioned and articulated robot mode, and he's the torso of a combiner.
On top of that, this video also shows just how important choosing PCC limbs can be - those four together are AWESOME, even if they do scream "G1 Combaticons Repaint" to me.

The more of this line I see the less I like it. This will probably be the first line in a long time I totally pass on.

Think I'll be very picky about what I buy in this line. Huffer will be a pass unless my income improves.
Doesn't caliburst have an axe mode as well? I really disagree with him being 'very very cool' as his arms are half the length they should be.

Peaugh has uploaded a video review of Power Core Combiners (PCC for short) 2-Pack Huffer. For those that do not live in Australia or Singapore this will be the first time to get a look at this figures engineering as the PCC line has not been released in the US yet.

I feel the opposite of you guys! The more I see of this line, the more I like it. (I think one of the big factors, though, is that when I was a kid I never had any of the combining/gestalt type figures.) And I like the simplicity of the transformations. It's got an old-school feel.

With you, brother! Fuuny enough, these all looked short in previous pix I've seen. I swear Huffer was the same height as his BotCon 07 counterpart.
Anyway, I'll only be picking up Icepick, Protectobots, Stunticons, and MAYBE Leadfoot, but I'm not too sure.

I like it. I'd say it's about time we got some easier transformations, it seems ever since the movies there's been a thousand steps for even scout classes. I think if they can keep it simple like this, and still have nice detail, it's probably a buy on my list.

I'm still undecided on this line. Huffer does look alright, and Caliburst is actually one of the best minicons so far, but in general all the PCCs are still kind of ugly, especially the limbs. I suppose I'll have to wait and see how they look in person.

I think I'll skip Huffer and wait for the inevitable Motormaster repaint.

Huffer and the other two-packs I will probably invest in. As far as the five-packs and the drones, pass.

Power Core Combiners were released in New Zealand last week, and I picked up Huffer for my Classics shelf.
He was begging for more paint apps, I painted the hubs silver, his upper arms (although they rub on transformation which is annoying) and repainted his head dark blue with light blue optics and silver face. I also painted Caliburst black and silver. The orange hood of the truck is quite distracting as Hasbro made no attempt to match the plastic colour.
Huffer is a VERY simplistic transformation after the wonderful scouts we have been getting out of the RoTF line, and loses a lot by having to be a torso as well.
Overall it is a neat little truck, but the robot mode is a bit of a let-down. A better head sculpt and some actual feet would have gone a long way.

Huffer and Icepick would be the only two i would be interested in, other than that this line is geared more for kids i think. Still might be a pass for me once i see them in person. Trying to steer clear of unnecessary items i dont need to take up room on shelves and cabinets.

That's what most people said about Animated when it first came out, now they can't get enough.
