I am sure this is old news but I saw these on another board and wanted to share them anyway for those who have never seen these. It is a pretty sweet mode.

That is epic. I love it. What an awesome homage to the G1 Mindwipe. I so want one now.

On a related note, I would like to see HeadRobots make a headmaster for this Mindwipe. You could still keep the original head for this bat mode.

Nice! Didn't know that Mindwipe has so many secret Modes! I'm still looking for ROTF SkyStalker to get his powered armored mode. Man where are you SkyStalker.. He wasn't released here for mass retail..

That looks far too good to be just a fan-made mode without any designers intention behind it. Could this have been an intended 3rd mode like Skystalkers Valkire mode?

Well, I was in a bit of a funk with this mold until viewing those pics. I thought the mold was pretty good overall, but I didn't think it was the most amazing mold in the world. I was wrong, and this completely rocks.

Just waiting on someone to repaint him into Ratbat and he'll be good to go!

I was going to say the same thing. And kudos to whoever figured it out.

Holt cats! What a lovely "secret mode"! I had never seen that before!

Thanks a bunch! Now I have a second way to display Mindwipe! :D

Glad I bought him now. (I was before, he's underrated, btw.) I'm even more so, now.

He's a triple changer, and links up with Skystalker? Awesome. And we didn't even know how awesome until now.

That's what I thought when I saw pics of voyager Megatron's jet mode but the lack of connectors makes me think it is unintentional. With this bat mode, I think we need to have it in hand to make a decision.

I must retract my earlier statements.

I just tried it, to the best of my abilities, and I'm thoroughly unimpressed.

It's a bit of an illusion, and when you look at it from the front, it looks like a bat until you turn it, and see all the gaps and how his arms stick out of his back and you quickly become disillusioned with it.

Plus, it's hard on the figure, so I definitely can't recommend it. :(

Hmmm, perhaps you weren't transforming him into the bat mode correctly? Otherwise that's a bummer to hear.

I admit, I may not have it quite correct, but one thing that cannot be changed, no matter how good he makes it look, is the arm placement. They just stick right out of his back and have to kinda crisscross.

And the other problem is his tail flaps/"ears". The head is too far forward for them to actually work as ears. You'll notice this when looking at him from the side. If anything, it looks like a giant collar like Dracula would wear. Which kinda fits, given the "altmode", but it just doesn't look right to me.

I tried it and it didn't seem to work so smooth for me either. I ended up just fiddly with the figure anyway, and I have to admit that I at least appreciate the figure more now. It is one of the most poseable figures I have ever seen, and both modes look great. Also, he is built far most solidly than a lot of other TFs in any line. There is a lot of value in the figure. I have liked it from the beginning, but now I love the figure and think it is a really good toy for a lot of different reasons.

If you hang him in a corner where you can only see him from the front it won't matter how bad it look from the side or back.

Yeah, that's the only place I've been able to find mine as well. I guess he's practically K-Mart exclusive then :P .

But yeah, I picked him up today cause he was on sale for $15, and I just put him in his bat mode.

Overall, :P the arms are giving me problems, but it's better than most fan modes. Still, I doubt it was intentional. What really seals it for me though are the feet. They just work.

The figure itself? Well he's pretty cool, except those stupid upside down knives. Would it really have been so hard to make it so he could hold them normally?
