Calling all War Within collectors.
A few months ago I had purchased off ebay the War Within OP VS Mega boxed set.
However recently I went to clean up/re-organize somethings and noticed something really weird and possibly annoying.
Is the leg disconnected from OP's hip normal?? **Please refer to attached picture**
Thanks y'all,
Sam

Moving to toy discussion and yes, it is normal for these types of figures to be falling apart in the package.

Titanium figures tend to be a lot looser than regular figures thanks to the die cast: the plastic joints often can't support the sheer weight of the metal parts.

Any reason you think its damaged? It looks like the leg just popped off the ball joint. No real damage there. Once its opened its easy to plug the leg back into place.
Certainly nothing that requires a new set of Prime and Megatron.
Unless you absolutely can;t stand to have Prime with his leg disconnected inside the package.

Hey guys,
To be honest I've just commited a heresy and opened the box

Well it seems the leg had just slipped off the balljoint which was easily remedied and everything else is fine pity I had to open it though. Oh well MIB is always better than non-mint

Word of advice fella - "Is this normal?" is not a good headline for a topic. The horrors often contained within will put most people off.

The real tragedy would be never opening it to enjoy the figures. Set the prisoners free!

I think most of us here feel the same way.

Not just the metal, if they where made of nothing but plastic the joints would also fail, they are just too week to support anything but themselves.

Honestly, the amount of toy collectors here that haven't seen Toy Story 2, it's ridiculous

Love both Toy Story movies, hoping to see Toy Story 3 soon.

If it were really true that Transformers could come alive, most of these people here would either be crapping themselves with happiness, or sheer horror.

I was hoping against hope that a Transformer would make an appearance in Toy Story 3.

It's normal. IMHO, if this mold is re-released, Takara/Hasbro should follow their 1980's practice of changing the die-cast into hard ABS PVC. The series beside popping off the seams are so prone to paint chipping that the only way you'd like to keep the figs in good condition is to do a Toy Story 2 on them. Especially the WWI Optimus Prime. A great design but poorly or forced implemented die-cast parts and paint apps ruined it.
