New Images of Generations Deluxe Red Alert

When Takara released Red Alert in their Henkei series, english speaking Transformers collectors were nudging Hasbro with the gesture of 'Where's Mine?" You'll be pleased to know that Red Alert will be made by Hasbro, a Wave 3 Deluxe release in their Generations line this summer. While the figure is different from it's original Henkei version, i.e does not have a red head, this figure is still a repaint of Universe Sideswipe and captures the character of Generation One Red Alert. Transformers Insider KOToys strikes again, he's got the new figure and shares images with us. Check them out below!

Wow, the last picture really shows how big Drift's alt. mode is. As far as Red Alert, the photo shopped images looked alot more appealing. The alt mode is really boring in my opinion. Robot mode looks pretty solid but his red head is sorely missed.

The only complaint about Red Alert is his gun. It's just colorless. Add a little black to it, and I'll be fine. Other than that, expect RA in my collection soon!

I like it. Different enough from the Henkei version that I'll pick this up as well.

Wow this mold has got some staying power..While I like red alert and all this repaint is kind of boring. Reminds me of the 7.8 million repaints of Voyager OP, nothing ever really groundbreaking to enjoy..

I'll probably still get him though, he'll look cool next to My drift :P

I'm glad to see he's got a nice bright red deco - the official photos made it look raspberry. Not liking the black helmet, but I love the red panels on his thighs - a welcome change from the blue!

EDIT: Oh, and I'm really happy that he's FINALLY got a proper FD St. Florian's/Maltese Cross emblem. Still in a cop shield, but it's a baby step in the right direction.

Personally I cannot wait to see what kind of love Reprolabels will give this guy.
Also I am already planning to make a latex mold of his head. So I can recast it in red colored resin. along with a little silver in the face plate, for some extra accuracy.

Or i just may get lazy and just remove the head, paint it blood red with some of my Citadel colors. Then add a protective clear coat, before re-assembling it. After all it is not like the paint is going to get chipped when it is in my display case.

either way it will be red again. the extra resign work will all depend if i think the red paint would chip during a casual transformation when my friends fiddle with it.

It is amazing that everyone is going on about the Red Head. Old Red had a black head on the original toy and WST, it is only the cartoon that gave him the Red Head.

I would forgive the black helmet if only they would give him light-piping in his horns so they could light up.

I agree. I love that Hasbro is giving us a more accurate G1 toy version instead of just giving us the same thing Takara came out with last year.

Pass for me. Wish I bought this one instead of Sideswipe, but oh well. I have one copy of the mold and that is plenty for me.

Not bad. Aside from the painted lightbar, it all looks good. But I don't collect Red Alerts, so it's all good.

I like the use of the gray arms and thighs and I also like the red on the elbow joint but other than that I'll stick with the henkei version.

I like the grey and reds that Hasbro used, but i cant stand the very boring, lack of detail grey gun he has. At least paint it all black or silver....

I'll pick it up, I never got the henkei one and I don't love the character too much, so this is the right price. He will look nice next to Inferno.

But what's with the OS next to Alert on his back plate?

I repainted an extra Universe Sideswipe into Red Alert (with red head). I may consider switching the heads & turn my custom Red Alert into Breakdown.

That's looking good. It is nitpicky, but I'd also like to see the gun be painted, and not just that light grey plastic. But, you know, that's not the biggest of deals. Can't wait to get me one.

I'm looking at it on my netbook screen, so not the greatest view, but the "S" looks like a "5" to me. Could it be "85"?

Very nice. Not as shiny as the Takara one (literally), which is both good and bad. I'm in.

Heck yes. He'll go great next to my head-swapped Tigertracks and Road Rash :3

"colorless gray gun!?!?! This must be a decepticon plot! they are out to get MEEEEE!!!!!!" - Red Alert

Still looks really cool though. I really love this mold!
