O...I could care less about that OP mold...but a clear Rodimus for when fans project does their Protector Upgrade does sound nice...Any ides how much/when this will be avaliable? and will it hit the US?

I hear ya. That Deluxe Optimus Prime is crap. However, I think this set will be popular thanks to that clear Rodimus. I know I want that set now.

Also, I wouldn't bank on this coming to the US. This looks to be part of TakaraTomy's 2010 promotion.

So this is part of the takara promotion exclusive limited figures.
As for clear animated prime & rodimus is mass, no wonder my retailer told me he will bring in a lot...

Interesting. Clear Rodimus looks pretty cool. Likely won't be seeing this set though, and I don't really buy clear figures anyway.

I just hope the rumors of Target carrying Rodimus are true. This "reissue" made me realize how badly I want that figure.

This is like the third time that atrocity of an Optimus Prime has been released! Hasbro/Takara must have a whole warehouse of unsold Optimus deluxes. Heck, where I come from this Optimus is like s shelf warmer. Smart strategy in getting rid of unsold stock by pairing it with a most wanted (future HTF) figure just (after Protector).

And yes, I am fully aware Protector is an unlicensed product.

Exactly. I really felt like I totally missed the boat on that figure.

But I already own him and never want that mold again.

I remember when people were saying that Rodimus was the weakest of the Classics line. Oh, how the tables have turned.

It's too bad that delux C1 Prime mold is so bad. Well, apparently, since I didn't get it. Wierd pairing a clear Roddy with an opaque Optimus. Unless he's clear too and it's just obscured.

I think he's clear too, especially in the legs. The red is much darker, so it is harder to see.

Oh come on. Let's be honest. All Hasbro has to do is paint that OP black, add red eyes and give him a foreboding name like "Fallen Nemesis Broken Harbinger Prime" and you would all buy 5 copies of him.

Boring? Yes. Overdone? Definitely. Would it sell? Without a doubt.

No, I wouldn't buy it if it was black. I have to be a bit picky with TFs and my Black Convoy spot is filled with Car Robots Black Convoy and Universe 1 Nemesis Prime.

Now if he was gold chomed, well ... that'd make me think twice about not picking it up.

He still is the weakest, but I bought him the first time around. The Fansproject Protector kit is the whole reason for the rise in popularity.
