Generations Thrust cockpit

Hi,

I am really impressed with the generations Thrust figure, but the bright yellow cockpit glass annoys the hell out of me. Does anyone know of any junker Classics Ramjets or of a KO version with smoky cockpit glass I can buy and cannibalise to modify Thrust?

I guess if I cannot find one, I may have to buy a Classics Ramjet and switch the glass over, just not happy to pay Ebay prices if I can avoid them. And if Generations Dirge has yellow glass too I will have to do it again.

If anyone is seeker-army building, I would be happy to swap the yellow glass bits for smoky ones.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Or, just wait for Generations Dirge! There aren't any images yet as far as I know, but most would assume it'll use the pre-existing Conehead mold.

If you plan on taking it off anyway, why not paint the inside a dark colour? Brush strokes would be hidden and you'll have a dark cockpit with a yellow tinge.

This guy may be able to help you out with a Ramjet:

I considered just repainting the inside of the cockpit as you suggested Mykltron but I would really like Thrust to match Ramjet.

I have PMed grimdragon2001 as you suggested Kibble, hopefully something comes out of that. I am going for a visa on Monday, if I get it I will be coming to the States, making buying and trading transformers a lot easier.

And kirbenvost thank you for your idea, if Dirge comes with a smoky cockpit rather than a yellow one, the retail price would be a lot less painful than Ebay prices on Ramjet, since I will be getting one anyway it is an excellent backup plan.

Thanks for the suggestions! :D

as i mentioned in my reply to that PM, im not planning on selling ramjet right now. i do think dirge will have the smokey cockpit though (yellow would kill his look entirely). by the way, have you figured out how your going to get the piece out of ramjet/dirges head cause i dont think it'll come out of my ramjet without breaking

To remove that part you need to remove the pin. I do it by working out which is the 'textured' end, heating it with a soldering iron, then pushing the pin from the other end with a thin nail. I learnt how to do it when I was forced to, repairing the wings on my Masterpiece Starscream.
